RHP Grayson Coughlin (Tri-Valley, 2026) showed a quality three-pitch mix with a strong fastball and two high-spinning breaking balls with distinct shapes. Repeatable, directional drop-and-drive delivery with some shoulder tilt creating a downhill angle. Long, full arm circle with a ¾ slot. Attacks with the fastball at 84-86 mph (T87) with a max of 21.2 inches of induced vertical break. Went to the curveball behind it with sweep and some depth (max 2462 rpm). Mixed in a slider with cut-shape at 75-77 mph (max 2403 rpm).
Positional Profile: RHP/OF
Body: 5-11, 187.7-pounds. Athletic, high-waisted frame with strength present in the lower half.
Delivery: Simple, repeatable delivery with pace, high leg lift, drop and drive.
Arm Action: RH. Long, full arm circle, 3/4 slot.
FB: T87, 84-86 mph. Ride through the zone, generates swings-and-misses, attacks the zone. T2304, 2118 average rpm.
CB: 72-76 mph. Slurvy shape with depth and sweep. T2462, 2306 average rpm.
SL: 75-77 mph. Cut shape. T2403, 2277 average rpm.
Coughlin (University, 2026) would show athletic actions on the mound Sunday, throwing five innings with five strikeouts. He pounded the zone, not walking anybody and throwing 70% strikes. Coughlin showed a fastball that sat 78-81 mph (T82) with a 68-73 mph breaking ball.
