4.4.15 - 6-foot-2, 185-pound lanky and athletic left-handed pitcher, Illinois State commit ranked No. 79 in Illinois, works from long, high ¾ arm slot, leans back at balance point, slightly uphill shoulders, toe up at balance point, lands in line towards home plate, lower half opens early in delivery. Fastball sat mostly 81-83 mph throughout three innings of work. Displays arm side run when down in the zone. In three innings pitched allowed eight runs on seven hits with two strikeouts and two walks. Curveball flashed 1/7 shape, 67-71 mph. Also flashed a changeup in the 68 mph range, and possibly a cutter in the 77-78 mph range.

6/19/14 - 6-foot-2, 185-pound two-way prospect, long lanky frame, projects well. Delivery works with regular effort, toe up balance point, shoulder get uphill tilt, heel strike landing slightly open. Arm action is long and loose, ¾ slot, creates deceptive angles. Fastball has excellent action, run and sink to arm side, showed control of the zone, 82-83 mph. Changeup has well above average feel, fastball arm speed, 73-75 mph. Curveball has 11/5 tilt, occasional sweep action, 66-67 mph, throws for strikes. Offensively hits from a balanced stance, short stride, slight dive. Makes hard contact, consistently barreled baseballs in his round, showed the ability to get extension and work both gaps. 84 mph exit velocity from the tee. 7.17 runner in the 60.

10/20/13 - Lanky athletic frame, 6-foot-2, 185-pound left handed throwing two-way player. Shows projection on the mound, delivery is tall and balanced, regular effort. Arm action is long, operates from a high ¾ slot. Fastball has consistent running action to his arm side, sat at 80-82 mph. Curveball sat 67-69 mph, decelerated arm action. Changeup flashed sinking action, 72-74 mph. Offensively hits from a balanced stance, short stride. Advanced approach, slightly uphill path, 86 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively played with a long am action across the diamond at 74 mph. Showed agile feet around the bag, 7.04 runner in the 60.

7/17/13 - 6-foot-2, 180-pound athletic frame. Shows legitimate two-way capabilities. On the mound, left-hander commands zone with three pitches. Athletic, repeatable delivery, high-3/4 slot, loose arm action. Fastball topped at 82 mph, sitting 78-80. Changeup shows high potential. Throws changeup with conviction, 73-74 range, with sink down in the zone. Curveball shows inconsistent shape; best one has more sweeping action, 67-69 range. Offensively, runs a 7.08 60, left-handed hitter with excellent balance, swing mechanics and balance. Bat speed present, creates natural lift in swing, overall sound plate approach. Defensively, shows athletic feet around bag and solid glovework at first base.

1/20/13 - Lanky, athletic frame, 6-foot-1, 170-pound two-way player, good projection. Delivery shows easy effort, rhythm is smooth, long loose arm action, high ¾ arm slot, moderate arm speed, excellent overall feel. Fastball has command, 76-78 mph, slight run. Breaking ball shows slurve action, gradual break, thrown for strikes, 66-68 mph. Changeup shows command, 70-71 mph, arm side action, thrown with similar arm speed to fastball. Offensively hits from the right side, quiet approach, balance setup, no stride, good bat speed, short level path, line drive approach, shows rhythm.
