On mound high level competitor threw complete game five-hitter, one run, three walks, three strikeouts. Highly athletic arm from high ¾ slot. Threw from first base side of rubber, slightly across body at times. 59 of 91 pitches for strikes, 19 of 27 first pitch strikes. Fastball ranged 85-88 early on, 83-85 in later innings. Slider showed potential to be a swing in miss pitch in the future, and consistently throws for strikes in 74-77 mph range. Shepski’s third time up since last Wednesday: complete game victory on Wednesday, save on Saturday vs. Mt. Carmel, complete game victory tonight. Speaks to competitiveness and will to win.
