One of the first arms we saw on Sunday was RHP Joey Pagni (York, 2023), and the 6-foot-3, 205-pound junior flashed advanced arm strength for his age. Pagni ran his fastball up to 85 mph, sitting at 83-85 mph, and he showed feel to throw a tight, bullet-spin slider at 75-77 mph for strikes.
Positional Profile: RHP/3B
Body: 6-3, 205-pounds. Sturdy, athletic frame. Strength throughout.
Delivery: Up-tempo delivery, high and flexible leg-kick that works towards his back shoulder, drop/drive lower half that gains ground down the mound, foot lands closed.
Arm Action: RH. Long out of the glove into a high 3/4 slot.
FB: T85.2, 82.6-84.7 mph. Showed sinking action. T1886, 1751 average rpm.
CB: 73.4-75.6 mph. 11/5 plane, more depth than slider, tight spin with some feel for strikes and down. T1807, 1741 average rpm.
SL: 75.2-76.9 mph. Short 10/4 shape, thrown with intent. T1795, 1711 average rpm.
CH: 75.1-78.2 mph. Sinking action to the arm-side. T1645, 1581 average rpm.

Hit: RHH. Wide stance, weight starts on the front foot, smooth load, leg kick stride. Short, uphill swing plane, quick hands to the pull side.

Defense: Developing hands and footwork, clean exchange.
