Ranked No. 25 in the state's sophomore class. Stands in a 6-foot-4, 180-pound frame with long levers and a high waist. Started on the mound and worked four innings, allowing three hits, two walks and three earned runs while striking out 11. Athletic mover on the mound with a quick arm path out of a 3/4 slot. Fastball sat 83-87 mph in this look and touched 88 mph with arm-side run. Mixed in a curveball at 73-74 mph with a sweeping 2/8 shape at times, and a changeup at 72-74 mph with late drop. A high-follow sophomore in the state, with plenty more to come in his overall repertoire.

Delivery: Quick, up-tempo mover, high leg lift, tall/fall down the mound.

LHP Landon Ludwig (Ridgeview, 2028) is a high-upside, projectable arm to know in the state's rising sophomore class. He stands in a long-levered, high-waisted 6-foot-4, 180-pound frame with plenty of room to add strength. Ludwig controls his long levers well, operating out of a quick, up-tempo delivery with a compact arm action from a ¾ slot. He showed a four-pitch mix throughout his bullpen featuring a fastball that sat 83-87 mph (T87.8) with life out of the hand and arm-side run. He mixed in a curveball at 71-73 mph with short, horizontal break, and a changeup at 71-72 mph with fade and depth in the lower half (avg. -17.1" HM). Ludwig rounded out his arsenal with cutter at 77-78 mph with short horizontal bite. The upside and current stuff makes Ludwig a follow arm in the class.
Projectable 6-foot-4, 175-pound frame. Ludwig impressed on Thursday as he struck out seven batters through four and ⅓ innings while not allowing an earned run. The left-hander operates from a simple delivery with a high leg lift while having a tall/fall approach. Full, clean, quick arm from a ¾ slot. His fastball sat 80-83 mph with life through the zone. Mixed in a curveball that sat 66-68 mph with sharp, late actions and an 11/5 shape that produced swings/misses.
