10/19/14: 6-foot, 225 pound southpaw possesses a strong frame.  Pitches from a ¾ slot with average arm speed.  Long arm action.  Easy effort and smooth rhythm.  Stays in line and lands square.  Fastball was straight sitting 78-79 mph.  10/4 breaking ball shows late break and thrown for a strike at 68-69 mph.  

10.12.14 - 6-foot, 220-pound left-handed pitcher worked at 78-81 mph with fastball, displayed arm side run. Works from short, high ¾ arm slot. Coils over the rubber at balance point, leans slightly back over the rubber, shoulders work uphill, hides the baseball, lower half stride direction stays in line with home plate. 66-67 mph curveball flashed 2/8 shape, with gradual break. Slowed arm slightly on 66-69 mph changeup.

8/9/14 - 6-foot, 220-pound left handed pitcher, strong lower half. Directional delivery, short arm action, over the top slot. Fastball has occasional run, 80-82 mph. Curveball has 11/5 action, 67-70 mph. Changeup thrown with near fastball arm speed, 71-73 mph. Struck out two in two inning of game action.

6/19/14 - 6-foot, 220-pound left-handed pitcher. Showed improved velocity since February, topping at 84 mph, sitting 82-83 with his fastball, and 65-66 mph with curveball. Drop-and-drive delivery, high-3/4 slot; around the plate with three pitches. Changeup ranged between 71-73 mph.

2/16/14 6-foot, 225-pound southpaw. Throws with a tall and fall delivery, smooth rhythm and clean lines. Arm works from a high ¾ slot. Fastball was 78-80 mph with slight running action. Curveball sat 61-63 mph with 11/5 shape. Changeup was 67-69 with slight sink, for strikes.

10/20/13 - 6-foot, 225-pound southpaw with three pitch feel. Has a drop and drive delivery with some rhythm and regular effort. Arm works out of a high ¾ slot with a short arm action. Fastball was 77-79 mph with quality sink. Throws a changeup with fading action at 66-69 mph. Curveball is 60-62 mph with soft action.

1/20/13 - Wide 6-foot, 225-pound two-way player who projects more on the mound. Fastball sat at 80-81 mph thrown from high 3/4 slot for strikes. Uses short arm action and drop and drive delivery. Changeup is solid pitch, throws it for strikes at 68-69 mph with sink down in the zone. Curveball inconsistent, but flashed a few with 12/6 break in 65-67 range. Has strong lower half and, if works on athleticism in delivery, has potential to add velocity in future.

6/13/12 Lorenzi is a physical 6-foot, 220-pound two-way player who impressed on the mound, showing good rhythm throughout. He throws from over the top with a 78-79 mph fastball. Lorenzi’s secondary pitches are a 59-62 mph curveball and a 64-67 mph changeup. Offensively, Lorenzi swings from the right side, showing strong pull side power.  He uses his legs well to get behind the baseball and drive the baseball. Additionally, Lorenzi ran a 7.5 60.
