4.23.18 - Concordia-Chicago commit. 5-foot-8, 155-pound, switch-hitting catcher. Hits in the three-hole and had a big day at the plate. Finished the game 4-for-4 with two doubles, five RBI’s and two runs scored all from the left-side of the plate. Starts from a balanced setup, slight leg-kick trigger. Simple swing, stays balanced and within himself. Loose, whippy hands create bat speed, has feel for the barrel, uses the entire field and made hard contact in every at-bat. Singled to left in his first at-bat, singled to center in his second at-bat and doubled to right-center field in his final two at-bats. Defensively, plays with energy and bounce behind the plate. Active blocker, recovers with quick athletic feet. Arm action can get long, accurate throws and pop times clocked at 2.13 in between innings.
7.27.17 - Switch hitting catcher with an athletic, thin frame. Crouched, slightly open setup at the plate. Leg lift stride with good balance. Loose hands with a fast bat. Pull approach. Doubled down the left field line to lead off the game. 4.61 on the turn. RBI double to the gap in left centerfield, 4.57 on the turn. Also singled down the right field line from the left side of the plate. Active blocker behind the plate, moves well laterally.
