Pepperdine commit. Currently ranked No. 106 in the IL 2019 class. 6-foot-4, 210-pound left-handed pitcher, high-waisted frame. Started and went all four innings in the run-ruled/shortened Regional Semifinal game against Whitney Young. Allowed two singles and struckout eight, majority ending on fastballs. 40 of his 57 pitches were strikes and impressively started all 13 batters he faced with a first pitch strikes, attacked early in the count. Low effort delivery, short side step into a low hanging knee balance, shoulders downhill, shorter stride in-line to home, closed toe landing, controls body at finish. Arm plays short with average arm speed, ¾ slot, some stiffness in the arm after release. Fastball sat at 82-83 mph with slight run, easy out of the hand, elevated it when needed. Maintained fastball arm speed on secondary, effective in-game. Slider played 73-74 mph, shorter break with tight break and conviction at times, 2/8 shape, occasional pull to glove side. Changeup ranged 75-77 mph, threw in all count with confidence, vertical depth with slight fade.

2.11.18 - Pepperdine commit. 6-foot-4, 210-pound, left-handed pitcher, well-proportioned, strong frame with room for continued physical development. Drop and drive delivery, works slightly across his body and lands square. Short, loose arm action, comes out of a short ¾ window. Feel for a three-pitch repertoire. Fastball works mostly straight, occasional arm-side action, 80-81 mph. Curveball, 1/7 shape, feel, short break, 70-71 mph. Changeup, thrown for strikes, flashed cut, 73-74 mph. Plenty more in the tank.

10.15.17 - Verbally committed to Pepperdine.

9.30.17 - Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 43 in Illinois’ 2019 class. 6-foot-4, 205-pound frame with room for continued physical development. Works from a full windup, high-¾ slot, short in the back, drop-and-drive delivery, lands slightly across his body. In first inning, fastball sat 81-82, touching 83 once, erratic around the zone. Also threw a 72-mph curveball, including one that recorded a strikeout.

6.7.17 - 6-foot-4, 210-pound left-handed two-way player. Projects best on the mound, full windup delivery, slight tilt and topple, lands square. Arm action draws short out of the glove, quick loose arm, high ¾ slot. Fastball runs to arm side, showed ability to command. Slider flashed sharp action, near fastball arm speed, feel for the zone, 70-73 mph. Splitter flashed biting sink, 68-71 mph, thrown deceptively with fastball arm action. Left-handed hitter, open stance, short stride. Level path with some bat speed, front foot hitter at times. 88 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively arm played at 79 mph across the diamond. 7.67 runner in the 60.

7.26.16 - 6-foot-3, 190-pound, lanky, left-handed pitcher. Works from a ¾ arm angle with a short arm action. Tall and fall, online delivery with a full windup. Some rhythm with a square landing. Tough on left-handed hitters. Fastball showed slight running action at 78-81 topping out at 82 mph. Throws a slider and Curveball. Slider has short breaking action at 67-78 mph. Curveball shows occasional sweeping action at 64-65 mph. Struck out three in two innings of work.

1.17.16 - 6-foot-2, 185-pound left-handed hitting LHP/1B with a lanky, projectable frame. On the mound works from a high ¾ arm angle with a short arm action. Tall at balance point with a drop and drive, slow paced delivery and easy effort. Square landing with athletic finish. Struggled with fastball command at 75-77 topping out at 78 mph. Slider showed 1-7 shape at 66-69 mph. Called changeup splitter that sat 66-68 mph. Offensively hits from a balanced, slightly open stance with a low hand set. Long stride back to even with a long level swing path. 82 mph exit velocity from a tee. Ran the 60 at 8.00. Defensively has a short, loose arm action with average hands.
