OF Riley Contreras (Hinsdale Central, 2026) is another young physical prospect to note. The 5-foot-11, 168-pound, broad-shouldered, multi-sport athlete has advanced hand/wrist strength and creates above-average bat speed for his age. Its a short, direct path and the ball jumps off the barrel when the swing syncs up. In the outfield, Contreras plays through the ball with intent and rhythm, utilizing a soft glove hand out front and through the ball with an efficient shuffle into a crow hop – reaching up to 83 mph.

Hit: RHH. Quiet balanced setup, leg-kick timing trigger. Strong hands, creates bat speed, short direct path and ball jumps off the barrel.

Arm: RH. OF - 83 mph. Small gather into short arm path into 3/4 slot, plays with some carry.

Contreras is built at an athletic 5-foot-10, 162-pound frame with proportional strength attached. Another toolsy outfield prospect with a high-ceiling was 5-foot-10, 155-pound Riley Contreras (Hinsdale Central, 2026). Contreras ran one of the top 60’s of the day at 7.02, topped at 81 mph from the outfield and flashed pull-side leverage in his right-handed swing.
