Heartland Scout Day: Built to mash, the 5-foot-10, 225 pounder put a charge into the baseball, leading the scout day with a 399’ max distance and a 75% Hart Hit rate. Rundquist put up big numbers last spring for the Hawks with a .381/.490/.770 slash and 13 home runs. He’s a bat first college prospect.

11.27.18 - Verbally committed to Heartland CC.

5.17.18 - Adding from Week 6 Scout Blog. Has consistently been the offensive catalyst for Buffalo Grove over the past two seasons. Athletic hands, repeats swing and approach, maintains balance and strength through contact. Stands in the box confidently. Wore a curveball off the back in his first at-bat. Second plate appearance, best of the day, hammered a low and inside fastball off the CF wall for an RBI double. Threw his hips and trunk through the ball, barrel path worked with natural lift, generated back spin. Hit a sacrifice fly in third at-bat, tying the game up at a crucial moment.

4.23.18 - Currently ranked No. 120 in Illinois’s Class of 2019. 6-foot-1, 220-pound, right-handed hitting third baseman, thick upper and lower halves. Offensively, open setup, maintains balance, loads hands back smoothly. Line drive approach, hands work athletically, mostly level barrel path, some uphill tendencies, translates strength into swing. Squared up a mid-80 fastball for a bases clearing three-run double against Elk Grove, intentionally walked the following at-bat. Defensively, arm plays across the infield from third, short arm action from high ¾ slot, fluid footwork, clean on exchanges.
