4/24/14 Currently ranked No. 127 in Illinois’ 2014 class. 6-foot-2, 175-pound athletic frame. Moved well laterally in pregame warm-ups. Defensively, made an error on the only ground ball to him on the day on a tough hop. Showed quick hands and good feet around the bag on double play ball.  Cybulski and Oremus are both solid up the middle giving Lyons one of the state’s better double play tandems. Offensively, hit from an open stance. Tended to lunge and overstride, but impressed with the ability to keep hands back when fooled. Singled on a curveball that fooled him in first at bat, kept hands back and still hit the ball hard into the six-hole. Singled in all four at bats showing line-drive, contact orientated approach. Also stole two bases.

4/29/13 - Currently ranked No. 127 in Illinois’ 2014 class. Athletic 6-foot-3, 175 pound frame, long legs, moves well laterally in field. Athletic actions; made impressive play to his right on short hop to rob a hit. Gets out of the box well; ran a 4.27 from right side. Ran a 6.94 60 at previous PBR event.

10/21/12 - Cybulski is an athletically built 6-foot-3, 175-pound two-way player who ran a 6.94 60. Offensively, he has a balanced setup, and demonstrated some bat speed through the zone and a short line-drive approach. He showed athletic feet in the field, while being clocked at 75 mph across the diamond. On the mound, the right-hander topped at 80 mph. His changeup, in the 65-66 mph range, had arm-side run down in the zone. He also threw a 60 mph curveball.
Sam Cybulski is an athletic 6-foot-2, 165-pound two-way athlete from Lyons Township HS. The Class of 2014 prospect displayed quick and fluid athletic movements at shortstop, which was evident in his 7.06 60. His athleticism translated in the field as well, as he exhibited solid hands and an accurate arm across the infield, in addition to concise lateral movements. At the plate, he showed an athletic setup. On the mound, Cybulski showcased a clean arm action while operating from a high � arm slot. His fastball that sat at 75-77 mph. Cybulski showed some feel for a change up that displayed fade and was located down in the zone.
