6/25/15: The 5-foot-11 170 pound utility player ran a 6.86 60yd dash. Carter displayed good actions in the infield and outfield. Arm action is loose and throws were accurate. Positional velocity was 83 from infield and 84 from outfield. Hands were soft and exchange was clean. Offensively, Carter has a balanced setup and fluid actions. Bat speed is above average and level bat path. Exit velocity was 86mph.
4/23/15 GAME NOTES: Athletic 6-foot, 175 pound Junior displayed soft hands and athletic actions at SS during in/out and in game. Has a strong, accurate arm across the diamond. Went 0-3 at the plate but showed quick hands along with some bat speed; hits third in Harrison’s lineup. Good approach to the ball. Ran a 4.38 H-1st.
2/21/15: The 6-foot-170 pound shortstop showcased athletic defensive actions. Showcased fluid footwork with above average hands along with a quick/clean exchange. Possesses a quick arm that was 85 across the diamond. Ran a 6.95-60 at the event. At the plate hits in a balanced setup with a smooth load. Short stride with average use of the lower half. Good balance throughout the swing. Possesses above average bat speed with a good approach to the ball. Simple swing, line drive hitter. Projects to hit for average. Recorded a high exit velo of 86 mph.
6/25/14: 5 foot-11 inches, 170 pounds, Strong, athletic player. Soft hands at SS with good actions. Quick feet and a quick easy ball exchange. He is capable of playing several positions. 84 mph across the infield with carry and consistently on target. Fast bat, pull/ power type hitter, hits from a balanced stance with a short fluid stride hands controlled the bat.
2/22/14: 5-foot-10, 165 pound athletic sophomore ran a 7.01 60 at the event. Defensively uses a long arm action and throws from a high ¾ slot. Was 82 mph from the OF. Shows good actions defensively with good feet. Across the diamond in the INF was 81 mph from a ¾ slot with carry. Possesses above average hands with fluid feet. Exchange is quick. Plays through the baseball with athleticism. Offensively, starts balanced with a smooth load. Showcased quick bat speed with a short, level path to the baseball. Gets to extension well producing gap to gap power. Good rhythm throughout .
12/28/13: 5-foot-10, 165 pound sophomore ran an event best 7.07 60. Possesses good athleticism with a projectable frame. In the OF showcased a quick, clean arm at 84 mph. Moves well and plays through the ball. In the IF was 77 mph with a short arm action. Displayed soft hands and fluid feet. Release is quick. Still a little raw mechanically, but possesses enough tools to be a high level MIF. At the plate starts with an athletic, balanced setup. Load is smooth and uses a short stride. Showed good use of lower half. Bat speed is above average. Swing is long at times but does possess quick hands and gets to extension producing line drives with the ability to drive the gaps. High follow in the 2016 class.
