+ It was good to get some at-bats on Dehart as he returns from injury and he looks comfortable against upper-80s velocities in this look. He flew out to the track backside & pull-side, while also collected a scolded RBI 2B that he flicked to his backside gap. It is a fluid operation at the dish with his power beginning to shine, and even more on the way. He showed the twitch to catch up to velocity and as he finishes his rehab and gets back to 100% full health it likely ticks further, as well. He DH'd on this night - but the arm is an above average tool that also plays into the upper-80s on the bump.

Dehart holds significant upside in his 6-foot-2, 185 pound frame full-of lean strength. The bat is becoming more impactful - reaching a peak exit velocity of 96.2 mph - and he produced high exit velocities with a low-effort swing, a trait of a future-power bat. The swing works with easy flick to optimize accuracy, and a good run tool (6.85 60) adds another layer to the profile. The arm is a tool, as well, and Dehart holds two-way upside (up to 87 mph on the bump w/ command). There is ample room for strength to be added to his projectable frame, and the run-producer's profile that he holds should garner the attention of recruiters as August 1st nears.

‘26 2-way Colt Dehart (Canes Midwest National) - Projectable, 6-foot-2, 185 pounder. Athletic & beginning to add strength. LHH OF that ran a 6.85. Turns an upward barrel with the ability to use the whole field. Creates easy bat speed. On the mound - balanced, low-effort delivery with major upside. Clean, compact arm swing. Commanded three pitches. Fastball worked 83-86 mph, creates late ASR. Changeup is best off-speed pitch, fading at 74-76 mph. Confident in CH in S/M scenarios & to both right-handed and left-handed hitters. Breaking ball sweeps at 72-75 mph.

Hit: LHH. Tall, open stance w/ a higher handset. Good rhythm throughout the load. Short stride w/ a simple hand load. Tight turn of the barrel into an upward swing plane that gets to extension. Power potential
Power: 92 max exit velocity, averaged 82.5 mph. 337' max distance.
Arm: RH. OF-84 mph. Quick, compact arm action from a H 3/4 slot.
Defense: Controlled feet, soft hands, natural exchange.
Run: 7.13 runner in the 60.

Delivery: Simple, low-effort delivery. Athletic balance point, easy move down the slope, square landing, balanced finish.
Arm Action: RH. Quick, clean arm action from a H 3/4 slot.
FB: T85, 82-84 mph. Tons of feel for the zone. T1948, 1716 average rpm.
CB: 69-72 mph. 11/5 shape w/ depth. Feel to land for strikes. T2028, 1952 average rpm.
CH: 73-74 mph. Arm side fading action. T1755, 1663 average rpm.
