Meyer provided a quality start in his second outing of his junior campaign, working five innings, striking out nine versus 3A #1 Andrean. An Ohio State recruit, Meyer holds a lot of upside with a projectable, 6-foot-6, 225 pound frame. The delivery is balanced with a moderate lift, and simple move down the mound with some effort present. The arm stroke works quick to an over-the-top slot. Meyer hit 90 mph five times throughout the game, but mainy pitched at 86-89 mph. The fastball works on a downhill plane with some life, and he shows above average feel. Meyer showed a much firmer breaking ball than we have seen in the past, showing confidence in a 78-81 mph slider. He landed it multiple times for strikes to RHH and LHH. The right-hander showed a fading changeup at 80-82 mph

‘25 RHP Gavin Meyer (Canes Midwest National) - Ohio State recruit. Projectable, 6-foot-5, 205 pound frame. Significant velo in the tank. Balanced delivery, slight crossfire & lands soft on front leg. Worked 85-87 mph on the fastball. Changeup has taken a big step up since my last look, potential to be an out-pitch, faded at 75-77 mph for swing-and-miss. Slurvey breaking ball at 72-75 mph.

Position Profile: RHP/1B
Body: 6-5, 205-pounds. Uber-projectable build
Delivery: Feel delivery w/ some athleticism. Moves down the mound with control, shoulders work slightly uphill. Lands square & in a strong position. Balance throughout the operation.
Arm Action: RH. Moderate length to the arm action, arm swing is clean and comes from a high OTT slot.
FB: T88, 86-87 mph. FB shows some life w/ plenty of feel for the zone. Strike-thrower. T2226, 2117 average rpm.
CB: 76-76 mph. 11/5 shape w/ feel for the zone T2287, 2238 average rpm.
CH: 74-80 mph. CH has some run to the armside T2341, 1832 average rpm.
