Cooper Peterson: LHP/1B, (2024) Osawatomie, KS. 5-foot-8, 131-pound lanky frame. During batting practice, Peterson clocked an exit velocity of 69 mph. Started in a wide stance with a arm bar load, then used a short stride just before his swing. Has average bat speed, flat swing plane and high finish. He found a few barrels in his rounds. Line drive approach. Solid in the infield, had sure hands, a lengthy exchange and developing footwork. Had a high ¾ slot and a long arm action with decent accuracy to the bag. Clocked a 60 time of 8.5 at the event. On the mound, where he showed some arm speed, also used a loose arm action with a high ¾ arm angle. Slow-tempo type pitcher and shows some effort. Tall balance point with even shoulders. Shows a clean finish. Threw his fastball 59-62 mph with a max of 64 mph; has running action. His changeup (57-59) had some action.
