Another uncommitted backstop to note, C Daxton Grissom (Olathe South, 2026), carried over his strong performance from the 6A state tournament into Tuesday’s event. At 6-foot-2, 193-pounds with plenty of room to add strength, Grissom started off the day by posting a 6.73 60 to pace all catchers. In BP, Grissom elevated the ball from gap to gap, using a connected, repeatable swing. Behind the plate, the junior showed off a quick transfer, throwing out multiple runners during game play as he continues to polish his skills.
