CLASS OF 2026

One of the top two-way prospects in the nation and a top-10 player in the Kansas class, INF/RHP Milo Burton (Olathe East, 2026), looked the part on both sides of the ball at Monday’s event. The 6-foot-3, 189-pound junior started the day by putting together a loud round of BP, using his long levered, compact swing to reach exit velocities upwards of 98 mph with ease. Defensively, he showed clean, athletic actions on the infield to pair with a 83 mph infield velocity. Burton then wrapped up the day on the mound, throwing his fastball at 86-88 mph, topping out at 89 mph with a peak spin rate of 2,264 RPM. With that he paired a 2,300+ RPM horizontal moving slider at 70-73 mph and a changeup at 77-79 mph with arm side fade.

RHP/CIF Milo Burton (Olathe East) continues to impress and show why he is the top ranked prospect in Kansas’ 2026 class. At 6-foot-2, 185 pounds, Burton offers plenty of projection on a frame with room to add on. The righty started the day on the mound, pitching his fastball in the high 80’s, topping out at 88 mph. He also spun a tight slider (71-72 mph) and a changeup (77-79 mph). That arm strength continued over to the infield where Burton produced one of the top infield velos of the day (89 mph) and ran a 3.73 30 to pair. At the plate, he used his long-levers to post exit velos up to 93.8 mph.

Arm Action: RH. Long 3/4 arm action with good arm speed. Hides ball through his release.

Hit: RHH. At the plate starts with a tall, open stance and high back elbow. Leg kick load to square with medium stride. Slight uphill swing plane, pulls hands quickly through the zone. Line-drive approach to mid/pull side.

Power: 71 mph exit velocity off the tee and 79 mph exit velocity in BP.

Arm: RH. INF - 67 mph. Short high-¾ arm action.

Defense: In the infield, displays clean footwork around and through the ball. Stays low to field, soft hands with clean gather. Developing exchange and release.

Run: 4.65 runner home to first.

Delivery: On the mound works from the stretch only. Repeatable tempo, good balance point. Tall-and-fall delivery down the mound, landing square to home with some extension.
