RHP Parker Bass (Olathe West, 2028) made a splash in his Prep Baseball debut on Saturday. As projectable as they come at 6-foot-6, 227 pounds, Bass filled up the zone with confidence and showed advanced feel for his full arsenal. He ran his fastball up to 87.4 mph, sitting comfortably in the 85–87 mph range with up to 19.1 inches of horizontal movement and 17.3 inches of induced vertical break. Off that fastball, he spun a 71–72 mph slider and turned over a 77–81 mph changeup with heavy arm-side fade (21.9" HM). With his size, ease of delivery, and pitchability, Bass emerges as a name to follow closely in Kansas’ 2028 class.
