1/13/19 - Gerety is an athletically built 5-foot-11 180-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and shortstop in Kansas’ 2021 class. He ran a 4.15 home to first and had a 90 mph exit velocity. Gerety is a good combination of speed an power with more in the tank down the road. At the plate, starts in open stance with little wasted movement in swing, raises leg slightly under control, in line stride, quick and explosive hand speed, loose with bat whip, level though the swing, gap to gap contact, repeatable swing. In the outfield, high three quarters arm slot, loose arm action, aggressive attacking ball, clean exchanges, works through the ball with momentum from footwork, 87 mph outfield velocity.On the infield, 86 mph positional velocity, short over the top arm slot, gains ground with footwork through the ball, clean exchange, mostly accurate throws.

At the plate, starts in slightly open stance, controlled leg lift, rhythm in hands, aggressive and quick bat speed, middle to pull side contact. In the outfield, hight three quarters release, crow hop, attacks the ball, plays through the catch, 83 mph outfield velo. On the infield, 82 mph positional velocity, works behind the ball and through the catch, feet are quick and create momentum, high three quarters release.
