MERRIK BALL: LHP/OF, (2024) Linden, MI. 5-foot-11, 145-pound. Smooth athletic on the mound, showed good arm speed, also used a ¾ arm angle and a quick arm action. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses some effort. Showed athletic consistent balance point and even shoulders. Lands open with an athletic balanced finish. Changeup (72-73 mph). Produced a fastball that came in at 77-78 mph with a max of 79 mph; has a straight fastball that shows tight action and control down in the zone. (Max spin 2182; Avg 2078). Threw a 11/5 curveball (62-64) with down in the zone feel command and slurvey tight action. (Max spin 1549; Avg 1454).
