6/17/19

6-foot, 195-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. #54 ranked player in MN 2020 class. 7.50 runner. Easy leg kick trigger, aggressive swing with solid bat speed, line drive swing with lift through contact, works mid/pull side of field, 88 mph exit velocity. Fields out front, sure hands, avg. range, longer arm action with carry and accuracy to base, 82 mph arm across infield. On mound; short rocker step, tilted posture at balance point, deeper arm swing, compact out front. Fastball was 83-84 mph with straight action to plate. Avg. depth on 12/6 breaking ball with consistent shape and spin. Changeup is straight with avg. action at plate.

3/17/19

6-foot, 185-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.40 runner.  Slightly open balanced stance.  Knee to knee and hand load back.  Slight arm bar at times.  Easy loose swing.  Middle approach with line drive contact.  Flashed strength in barrel with average pop.  96 mph exit velocity.  C- Big body behind plate.  Good glove and works ball back to middle.  Body moves a lot and can be late to block.  Stays low with exchange and good direction with feet.  1.98-2.20 pop times.  76 mph arm strength with good carry and accuracy.  On mound- Balanced and good tempo through delivery.  Clean arm action with slight stab behind.  Fastball was straight and sat 84-86 mph.  Curveball has more slurve action with loose spin at 66-71 mph.  Change-up is inconsistent at 75-78 mph. 

7/11/18-  6-foot, 185-pound right-handed hitting catcher.  Narrow stance with weight slightly back.  Loose hands to start.  Left lift load with slight arm bar.  Strong and flashes average pop in bat.  Tends to work underneath contact producing fly balls.  Mid/pull approach.  89 mph exit velocity.  C- 2.16-2.25 pop time.  Clean exchange with average feet.  73 mph arm strength with average carry and accuracy to bag.

3/17/18- 6-foot, 180-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. Solid build with present strength. 7.39 runner. Narrow open stance, linear actions, dive bomb hitter, some length to contact with arm bar, above avg. round of bp, hard mid/pull contact, easy actions in box, generates bat speed with pop in bat, 91 mph exit velocity. Sure hands, has body sway and works ball back to middle of plate, smothers ball in front well on blocks, has momentum through plate, long release, shows solid arm strength, 76 mph arm strength with 2.00-2.07 pop times. Worked 83-85 with the fastball, and had a near 12/6 curveball at 67-68 that he threw with fastball hand speed and featured 2-tier break. Some polish to the delivery and breaking ball has a chance to be good.


7/5/17- 5-foot-11, 170-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.47 runner. Pre-set body load, triggers swing with rolling hand load and leg kick, shows strength at plate, mid/pull approach with consistent hard contact to pull side of field, 85 mph exit velocity. Avg. momentum through baseball, shows avg. routes and angles, projects to improve with development, accurate throws to plate, 78 mph arm strength from outfield. On mound; short rocker step into slight tuck and turn balance point, lands on stiff front leg, shows finish on release, with clean compact arm action. Fastball was 77-80 mph, thrown for strikes, with good hand quickness. Flashes late break on solid 12/6 curveball at 61-62 mph. Changeup has solid arm-side run with occasional cut at 68-70 mph.


3/18/17- 5-foot-11, 180-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.72 runner. Crouched stance, rolling load, low hand set, flat swing plane, spray contact, 77 mph exit velocity. Solid glove, works ball back to middle, active behind plate with solid athleticism, works around plate, clean exchanges, clean arm path, 2.06-2.22 pop times with 73 mph arm strength. On mound; short rocker step, rolls into crouched tuck and turn balance point, short compact arm action, OT slot, with direction and finish on release. Flashes arm-side life on fastball at 79-81 mph. Curveball was 66-67 mph. Above avg. action on changeup with late cut and fade action.
