6/28/21

Physical: Long, projectable 6-foot-2, 190lb frame with some strength held in the actions. 7.92 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH - Upright, narrow stance as the hands operated with circular rhythm at an up/down position. Utilized a short, directional lift and replace stride out towards the pitcher, initiating through a flat path into the hitting zone. Stayed on plane with the pitch up in the zone, doing big time damage to the LCF gap with lift in the approach (50% fly ball rate, 313 foot batted ball distance per Trackman). Showed off doubles power with strong wrists that leveraged at the front of the plate, using tight turns and a powerful lower half to rotate violently in the swing (T91 mph bat-exit velocity)

Defensively: The first baseman featured a medium posture during defensive evaluations, flashing a wider base and glove hand that presented early out in front. Fielded and funneled to the chest line, getting the hips/shoulders in line before dropping down to L ¾ slot on the release (78 mph arm, accurate).

Pitching: RHP - The primary righty started off the far left side of the rubber; quicker delivery and found balance at the top of the stack, working with pace into footstrike at an in-line position to the mitt. The arm worked on-time down the slope, getting to a H ¾ slot with fluidity at release. The FB entered the zone at 77-79 mph at 1857rpms, holding strikes at a 43% clip per Trackman. Mixed a 67-69 mph CB that tunneled well, creating consistent two-plane shape for occasional swing/miss, weak contact (11/5). Then countered with a killed 70-73 mph CH (1039rpms average) with short arm-side fade.
