8.19.18

6-foot-7, 190-pound right-handed pitcher. The showing was very good as he is progressing into his frame and the velocity continues to climb. The fastball touched 86 mph, downhill action to the pitch. The spin pitch sits at 65-66 mph, needs additional fastball hand speed to it. The shape of the spin pitch needs to be adjusted. The changeup is a plus pitch for him, sits at 64-65 mph, fade to the pitch. The delivery is all arm and legs as the frame is long and thin. The feet are online and the slot is above ¾. The arm works loosely and free. The arm speed is improving as you can see the ball start to jump out of his hand at times. The glove comes across the hitters face and the tracking of the front shoulder can stay online until footstrike. Huge projection based on the frame, he did show the ability to pitch on both sides of the plate with his fastball.

ENY All-Star Games (September 17, 2017)
Long and lean at 6-foot-6 190 pounds with plenty of room for physical gains. Pitching- Works from the center of the rubber with a short side step up to a mid-chest balance point. Arm action breaks across the belt working through a low 3/4 slot with some whip. Some collapse on front side may take away from his height advantage. Fastball ranged 79-80 MPH with more in the tank. Mixes both a CB and SL with CB more in the 12-6 range in the mid 60's and the SL with more lateral action in the upper 60's-70 MPH range. Change has late arm side action with some sink at 68-70 MPH. Feel for everything with big time projectable frame.
New England Academic Games (August 20, 2017)

6-foot-6, 180 pounds, long and lanky, wiry frame, should be able to add more strength in the coming years. Pitching- Throws from a higher ¾ slot from the right side. Delivery is inline with some deception. Long, loose arm with the athleticism to repeat his delivery. Threw the fastball between 77-81 MPH with the potential for another velocity bump heading into his junior season. Filled up the strike zone with it during gameplay. Threw his curveball between 66-67 mph, and induced a number of swinging strikes with the pitch. It has an 11/5 shape, shows feel for manipulating break. Impressive changeup for a high school arm, coming in between 69-71 mph with good fading action. Chudy has a good three pitch mix and a projectable frame, making him an intriguing arm in the 2019 class. With another velocity bump and another season to refine his repertoire, he could be a breakout candidate.

New England Academic Games I (July 25, 2017)

6-foot-6, 175-pound right- handed pitcher. The delivery is online and the arm works above 3/4 . Pitching- The arm path is clean on the backside, and he gets good extension out front. The delivery is athletic, slight forward lean as he gets into the lift w/ a small coil. The tracking of the front shoulder is done well and he stays with his arm. All 3 pitches have the correct shape and spin to them, as he showed good feel for pitching. The fastball touched 80 MPH with a downhill plane to it. The breaking ball is big, has the correct shape, sat at 67 MPH. The changeup has fade and sink to it, sitting at 71 mph.  1.3 to the plate out of the stretch, as he uses a modified quarter kick to control the running game. Excellent looking prospect, with additional weight added and physical strength coming, lookout.

NY Games (June 25-27, 2017)
Lanky 6-foot-6 180-pound RHP/OF who ran a 7.26/60. Pitching - Learning how to use his height to get downward plane on fastball at 77-78 MPH, clean arm action with extension, evident potential for tremendous ability, throws curveball at 62-63 MPH. Offensively - Short, compact swing, keeps bat on level path through the zone, full extension with slight upper cut after extension for an exit velocity of 83 MPH, repeatable swing, uses inner knee rotation to trigger hips, further lower body engagement will add to power. Defensively - clean footwork, sure hands, smooth and easy transfer to throwing hand, accurate arm at 85 MPH, outfield velocity gives indication of ability.
