The southpaw threw the ball well Thursday afternoon in pool play. Currently the No. 344 ranked player in the state of Ohio, Kubicz attacked hitters with a sinking fastball in the 77-79 mph range, pairing well with a slider he kept around 70 mph with late bite and depth. Works with some pace and tempo on the mound, uncommitted name to know.

Benjamin Kubicz: LHP/OF, (2026) Maumee, OH. 6-foot, 155-pound. (62.3 mph bat speed average). (21.0 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced quiet stance with a compact load, then used a small leg kick. Bat speed is efficient, displays a simple level swing plane and balanced finish. Solid from the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 78 mph; showed consistent feet, a natural exchange, and sure hands. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Used a consistent arm action with a high ¾ slot. On the mound, used a high ¾ arm angle with a quick arm action while showing some arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses some effort. Shows slight running action. (Max spin 2001; Avg 1940). Shows some action on his 10/4 curveball. (Max spin 2025; Avg 1962).
