Cape Cod: Call it a breakout summer for 6-foot-2 right-hander Boxrucker (2023/Campbell). He sat 90-92 mph with his fastball, while mixing in a low 80s slider, leading to a 2.00 ERA in 27 innings with 20 strikeouts.

6-foot-0, and 160-pound. One of the more intriguing pitching prospects in the 2020 class. A thin frame that would benefit from added strength. Boxrucker uses a quick tempo delivery that requires regular effort. There’s obvious quickness to the arm coming out of a high-¾ slot. Fastball was erratic at times, but shows some life at 82-86 MPH (topped 88 during warm-ups). The curveball is near 12/6 shape and has some sharpness to it at 71-73 MPH. Although he didn’t show it much, the changeup may be his best offering. The pitch was thrown with fastball arm speed and hard arm side run at 77-78 MPH. Boxrucker could develop into one of the more dominating arms once he’s able to harness his control.

The top mound performer of the showcase. Impressed with his combination of stuff and feel on the bump. Arm moves through an over the top slot, showing above average arm speed and arm strength. Consistently was in the zone with the the fastball that showed regular arm side run at 80-82 mph. Spins a sharp, 11/5 shaped breaking ball and also showed an above average changeup.

One of the top arm prospects we saw on the weekend. Frame is projectable and has room to add. Arm works well through a high-¾ slot. Shows all the physical signs of more velocity to come, currently sitting 80-83 mph. Also spins a sharp slider that has potential to develop into a swing and miss offering. Definite follow in 2020 class. Threw three innings, allowing just two hits while striking out three.

A right-handed hitter that starts in an athletic seutp. Loading seuqence is smooth and efficient. Bat has some quickness to it, working on a slightly downhill plane. A contact guy at this stage who has feel for the barrel. Worked primarily to his pull side in batting practice. In the outfield he has fluidity and athleticism to his actions. Mechanically sound with obvious feel for the position. Could get more out of his lower half as he transfers from fielding into his throws. Throws from an over the top slot with developing arm strength. On the mound the right-hander has a fluid tempo to a delivery that requires some effort. Works through a high-¾ slot with relatively clean arm action. Fastball was mostly straight through the zone sitting 77-82 mph. His go to secondary offering is his 68-69 mph curveball. The pitch has solid depth with some sharpness to it, while working on an 11/5 plane.
