6/6/18
The 6-foot-3, 195-pound southpaw with physical build continues to get better each time we see him. Delivery has some rhythm while incorporating a small glove tap as a timing mechanism. Very aggressive down the mound that does require more than moderate effort. Works through a high ¾ slot. Arm action is long and loose with some quickness and a slight recoil on the finish. Fastball is commanded well at 82-84 mph. Showed two breaking balls with the better one being more of a slider, but occasionally gets a little bigger and slurvy. Near 2/8 break with power and sharpness creating depth was thrown at 75-77 mph.  The curveball is bigger with more gradual 1/7 break at 71-72 mph. A legit three pitch mix that with the addition to mix in a changeup could be very effective at the next level.

1/30/18

A 6-foot-3, physical left-hander who offers a true three pitch mix. Kemp has obvious quickness to his arm. The fastball shows regular run at 81-83 mph for strikes. What stood out most was the breaking ball. A sharp swing and miss type that was consistently 74-75 mph with 2/8 tilt. Kemp also offers a playable changeup that shows slight cutting action. A first baseman with an ideal frame for spot. Plays with feel and an above average skill set across the board. A left-handed bat that starts in a tall, open setup. Barrel launches from a vertical position on a downhill path to the baseball. Swings with intent displaying natural pull side power. Really got into a couple ball in BP, looking to have the ability to leave the yard presently.

5/31/17
A left-handed hitter that starts in an athletic setup. Barrel starts and stays vertical at launch. Showed feel for the barrel consistently making hard contact in batting practice. Path is slightly uphill with above average bat speed. Top of the lineup type guy with some juice. Solid frame for the first base position. Gets off the bag quickly and has feel for the position. Glove skills are developing. Two-way prospect. On the mound the southpaw works exclusively from the stretch. Gets solid use out of his lower half. Arm has definite quickness to it while working through a near over the top slot. Fastball comes in on a downhill plane at 79-81 mph Curveball was a big breaker, showing sharp downward action at 72-73 mph . Was very confident in the offering, throwing it in any count.

2/1/17
A lefty swinger that has a series of movements to his loading sequence. Was very effective when movements were synced. Path is mostly level while getting steep at times. Impressive pop to his pull side. A first baseman with solid glove skills and above average lateral mobility. Ideal frame for the position. Solid defender. The southpaw features his big, projectable pitchers body on the mound. Throws through a high ¾ slot with short arm action. Stretch-only guy which helps him repeat delivery mechanics effectively. Fastball displays some cutting action as it sits between 76-79 mph. Displays feel for two out pitches he can consistently rely on. The curveball sits between 69-70 mph and features sharp, late 1/7 movement. Also offers a tighter 72-74 mph slider that dives heavily and late on the plate.

Infield Velocity: 75
Exit Velocity: 73
