Jayden Seiler: 2B/RHP, (2024) Archbold, OH. 6-foot-1, 160-pound. During batting practice, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 83 mph. (67.5 mph bat speed average). (21.4 mph hand speed average). Starts in an athletic tall stance with a controlled load, then uses a small leg kick. Has quick bat speed, simple flat swing plane and high finish. Solid in the infield, his position velocity was registered at 76 mph; showed consistent feet, a natural exchange, and sure hands. Solid in the outfield, his best throws to the infield topped out at 81 mph; had a clean exchange, soft hands, and consistent footwork. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Used a high ¾ slot with a quick arm action. Recorded a time of 7.36 in the 60-yard dash.  

Hit: Right-handed hitter that starts in an open setup. Shows a fluid back load to hands during leg kick timing trigger. Mostly level path that plays to both fields. Generates easy jump off the bat. Physical hitter with feel for contact.
Power: Gap to gap pop.
Offensive Projection: Run producer ceiling.
Max BP Exit Velocity: 86mph.
Max BP Distance: 295ft.
Field: Rangy defender in the infield. Fluid actions with feel for what he's doing. Left side of the infield candidate.
Throw: Clean arm with more strength to come.

Scouting Notes: Obvious upside for this mound prospect from the Central squad. Already has well above average velo for class and he will only add considering the low effort delivery, cleanliness, and endless projection left on frame. Mixed fastball/breaking ball with the breaker showing quality depth and sharper action. High follow here.

Curveball: 65-68mph.

Changeup: 70-71mph.

Swing Mechanics: Right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stance. Goes with a bat tip during leg lift for timing.
Hit: Level path with some natural loft. Balanced natural tools through the zone, both showcasing as above average for class. Ball comes off well. Much more pop to come as he develops physically.
Power: Gap abilities.
Offensive Projection: Run producer ceiling.
Field: Rangy defender with the infield with fluid actions and well above average lateral mobility for class. SOlid ball skills and he does a nice job of cutting down distance before release.
Throw: Loose arm with already respectable strength and will add easy velocity as strength arrives.

Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Stands slightly hunched over during delivery with a short arm action.

Fastball: 65-68mph. slight glove side movement on the offering. Most comfortable pitch with confidence.

Curveball: 52-53mph. 11/5 movement with more action over depth. Used sparingly during appearance.

Pitchability: In the zone some of the time with both pitches. 

Body Type: 5-foot-8, 116-pounds with lengthy build and plenty of room to fill

Mechanical/Delivery Notes: On the mound, the RHP has a quick tempo during his delivery. He throws from a quick short armed ¾ slot. Keeps his shoulders squared towards the plate and throws downhill

Fastball: FB has late life towards RHH (68-70)

Curveball: CB has small 11/5 break (63-64)

Changeup: CH has downward movement with some depth (63-64)

Pitchability: All his pitches have movement and stay around the zone

Role: Starter

Additional Comments: Has good size and will only grow. Velocity should increase as he continues to grow and mature

Hit: The RHH starts with a wide stance and has good weight transitions. Uses a quick short leg kick, with a small hand to shoulders load. Finds the same hitting plane. Hands stay inside and strong through zone

Power: Finds the barrel with some consistency, and has a line drive approach

Offensive Projections: Middle to back half of order (75 exit velocity)

Run: 7.79 (60-yard dash)

Field: From the IF, he has average arm strength with a loose arm. Has good footwork as he moves around the base. He plays with some softness in his hands and plays through the ball
