 RHP/1B, (2024) St. Francis DeSales, OH. 6-foot-3, 204-pound. Solid on the mound, showed consistent arm speed with a high ¾ arm angle and a loose arm action. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses some effort. Balance is tall point with a downhill shoulders in his delivery. Lands square with balanced finish. Threw his fastball 82-84 mph. Has slight running action. (Max spin 2166; Avg 2083). Showed a 11/5 curveball (71-72) with slurvey action. (Max spin 2548; Avg 2489). He had slight fading action on his changeup (71-72). Throws a 10/4 slider (73-74) that has late action. 

Hit: Switch hitter. From the left he starts in a balanced setup. Uses a leg lift timing trigger during slight back load to hands. Rotational sequence with a mid to pull side approach. Natural tools are balanced. From the right he has a similar look to him with maybe a bit more burst. Took a turn and burn BP from the right.
Power: Gap abilities.
Offensive Projection: Middle ceiling.
Max BP Exit Velocity: L81mph/R83mph.
Max BP Distance: L270ft/R278ft.
Field: Plays with an aggressive tempo in the infield, cutting down distance off the bat. Ball skills appear to be on par for class.
Throw: Solid present strength that projects for more.
Defensive Projection: CIF.

Scouting Notes: One of the youngest prospects of the event turns in an outstanding outing. The velo potential is there at 78mph already, he moves well and has a ton of room to add to his 6-foot-1 frame. However what really stood out was his feel for the breaking ball that was well above average stuff wise. Tossed the pitch early and often. High follow here.

2/7/19 Pitching
Body Type: Average frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Fluid movement patterns on the mound. Ball comes out well. Long, loose arm action through a high-¾.
Fastball: Pitch shows regular arm side run with a bit of sink. Should see easy improvements to velo as physical maturation takes its course. 62-63 mph.
Curveball: 11/5 shaped breaking ball with signs of sharpness to it. Expect the pitch to tighten up as velocity increases. 58-59 mph.
Changeup: Pitch comes out with a fastball look before showing big/gradual fading action. 54-56 mph.
Pitchability: Strike thrower that was in the zone for the most part.
