2/03/19

A 6-foot-1, 208-pound broad shouldered, durable, and strong frame. Offensively, the left-handed hitter bats from a balanced, even, upright, and slightly wide set-up with rhythm in his hands. Uses a smooth arm-bar and knee-knock load before launching his hands on a slightly uphill path with some bat speed and strength. In BP, shows a pull approach with occasional lift and big pop with barrel strength and some bat speed, some barrels, 92 exit velo. Runs a 7.27 60. Defensively, shows deliberate, clean, and confident actions with average hands and  feet. Throws with a moderate arm stroke coming through a high-¾ slot. Shows well above average accuracy with advanced arm strength at 84 mph on double play turns.

A  durable and broad shouldered 6-foot-1, 208-pound frame with strength throughout. On the mound, the left-hander works from a slightly up tempo delivery with moderate leg kick before driving down the mound and finishing balanced. Arm action is short and quick in the back before coming through a high-¾ slot with arm speed. Fastball sits 82-84 mph with consistent late arm side run and sink, almost all strikes. Curveball is advanced with late depth with 1/7 shape and tight spin at 73-74 mph. Changeup has late sink and fade thrown with full arm speed 71-73 mph, mostly strikes.

2/4/18
A physically advanced 6-foot-1, 195-pound frame with strength and broad shoulders. On the mound, works from a controlled and smooth delivery, sinking into his back side and getting good leg drive to the plate. Arm action is moderate and clean in the back, hides the ball well behind his head before coming through a 3/4 slot with quickness. Fastball was a tick slower than we had seen before at 81-83 mph showing occasional late run to the arm side. Curveball shows consistent late depth  with 1/7 shape, thrown at the bottom of the zone and as a chase pitch, 75-77 mph. Changeup has flashes late fade, thrown for strikes, 75-76 mph. Overall, Stacey was impressive with the amount of strikes he threw, and when he puts it together with the bigger velos he possesses, he will garner a lot of high level attention.

Arm action is very short in the back before coming through a high-¾ slot with arm speed. Fastball shows consistent and late arm-side run, commanded down in the zone, 85-86 mph. Slider has tight spin and late depth with 2/8 shape, 75-77 mph. Changeup has heavy arm-side run, thrown with full arm speed, 74-75 mph.

Uses a slight knee-knock leg kick with an arm-bar load before launching his hands on a flat path through extension. In BP, shows a middle to pull and mostly flat approach with some bat speed and strength, some barrels, 92 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.28 second 60. Defensively, shows deliberate actions. Throws with a moderate arm stroke through a high-3/4 slot with accuracy, 79 mph across the diamond.

A broad shouldered 6-foot-1, 198-pound frame with strength. On the mound, the left-hander works from a slightly uptempo delivery with a moderate leg kick. Arm action is very short in the back before coming through a high-¾ slot with arm speed. Fastball shows consistent and late arm-side run, showing command down in the zone, sat 86 and touched 87 mph. Slider has tight spin and late depth with 2/8 shape, 75-77 mph. Changeup has heavy arm-side run, thrown with full arm speed, 74-75 mph. In the game, Stacey gave up one infield hit and walk while striking out the other three batters he faced.

Throws with a short arm stroke through a low-¾ slot with accuracy at 79 mph across the diamond. 

9-9-18
A 6-foot-1, 208-pound frame with broad shoulders and strength throughout. On the mound, the left-hander works from a simple and average tempo delivery with a moderate leg lift before striding down the mound. Arm action is fast and compact with a quick change of direction at the bottom of the arm stroke before coming through a high-¾ slot with arm strength. Fastball sits 85-87 mph with consistently heavy sink and run, got swings and misses. Slider is already well advanced with a chance to be a future plus pitch with 2/8 shape and late depth, thrown with full arm speed at 76-77 mph. Changeup is also thrown with full arm speed and shows heavy fade with late depth at 75-76 mph. Consistent strikes with all three pitches. In the game, punched out four of the batters he faced and walked one.

In BP, shows an all fields approach with lift and consistent barrel strength, , best to the oppo gap, some barrels early and almost all barrels late in his round, 92 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.28 60. Defensively, shows above average feet around the back and gets rid of the ball quickly with a very short arm stroke coming through a low-¾ slot with excellent accuracy with arm strength at 79 mph to second base. In the game, was 1-for-2 with a double to the left-center field gap.
