5/13/23

‘23 3B Myles Naylor (Texas Tech commit) had himself another impressive day at the dish last Saturday. Batting in the three-hole, Naylor came out of the gate swinging, picking up a triple in the top of the first. Displayed patience and discipline, picking up a pair of walks, with good pitch recognition and ability to pick up spin on the day. On the defensive end it’s the arm strength that stands out immediately and it was a clean day at the hot corner for Canada’s top draft-eligible prospect.

5/04/23

Once again, Naylor has been the main attraction at the dish in Kamloops, Naylor broke out in a big way against the Langley Blaze making loud contact collecting two hits, including a rifled ground ball past the second basemen that made it to the wall in RCF. He didn’t get cheated at the plate, taking some violent hacks on pitches he just missed, as well. Naylor was the biggest draft eligible name at the Best of the West and he has performed well so far.

3/21/23

‘23 3B Myles Naylor (Texas Tech) put together the best day at the dish we’ve seen this week from any player. His first AB he came through on the first pitch for a screaming double the other way and he followed it up with another opposite field double in his second at-bat, this one a flyball that landed on the warning track. Had the hit tool and strength on display today. After a quiet first two days on our trip, Naylor broke out on Tuesday and showed what he’s capable of at the dish.

9/24/22

Naylor, 6-foot-2, 200-pounds is as physical as they come in the box. Present strength and bat speed produce multiple 100 mph EV’s regularly. Naylor hit a rocket to LF for an RBI single. Naylor is the ranked No. 1 2023 prospect in Canada and is continuing to show why.

9/17/22

Myles Naylor (‘23 Texas Tech) was the main attraction on the Canadian team with the 2023 Draft now just 10 months away and he didn’t disappoint, leading the team in nearly every offensive category. The right-handed hitter flashed his strength, hitting Canada’s lone homerun and added a double.

Not only did he flex his muscle, but he got a hit in nearly half his at-bats, reached base at a clip of .625 and had a whopping OPS of 1.331. Naylor was already the top prospect in Canada but seems to have elevated his game to another level this summer and into the fall.

Stat Line: .471/.625/.706 | 8-for-17 | HR | 2B | 4 R | 6 RBI | 6 BB | 4 K | 3 SB

4/08/22

Naylor, 6-foot-2, 200-pounds, immediately stands out with his thick, physical frame when he steps into the box. The Texas Tech commit showed why he’s the #1 2023 prospect in the country in the box. Consistently in the 90s, topped at 101 exit velo, Naylor was hitting the ball with authority to the gaps. He uses his body well to create torque and power through the zone. In the field, Naylor was one of the smoother infielders that showed out with a mix of hands and arm strength as he was up to 94 with a quick, loose arm action. Naylor balled out on both sides of the ball and lived up to the hype on this day.
