Ellis has tools that play on both sides of the ball. He was one of the better hitters during a spring training trip to Florida, with a quiet, balanced set-up and the ability to spray balls with gap power. The bat works through the zone and when he gets extended, the ball jumps. He’s an adequate defender and can play all three outfield spots. He has run a 6.9 60.

Projectable outfielder flashing tools. Athletic frame at 6-foot, 165-pounds that should be able handle added strength. Ran a best 60 time of 6.97 with fluid running style as a 2020 grad. Simple, compact swing with little wasted energy from the right side. Good load and path to the ball. Slight uppercut with the potential to add power with added strength. Smooth actions when fielding with a quick transfer and throwing mechanics. Balls had some zip with a little loft. Impressive showing by Ellis, will be one of the top 2020 prospects in Ontario to stay on.

Young 2020 grad with solid actions across the board. 5-foot-11, 160-pounds and will add strength. Ran a clean 7.15 sixty with regular effort. At the plate, right-handed bat with balanced, simple approach. Starts in athletic position, knees bent with small stride and load to launch position. Hands work well and stay inside baseball, good extension through contact while he produced hard contact and line drives all over the field while the barrel stays in the hitting zone. Defensively, proper actions in the outfield, as he gets stronger and matures, arm will do the same. Getting on top will increase velocity. Good looking 2020 grad with upside and sound fundamentals. 60-Yard Dash: 7.15 Exit Velocity: 84 OF Velocity: 76
