10/28/18 - 6-foot-2, 195-pound Tulane commit. Grintz pitched for Team Pennsylvania at the 2016 and 2017 PBR Future Games. Has changed his arm stroke considerably since that time, shortening up his take away allowing him to get on top of his fastball consistently. Pounded the zone with three pitches on this date sitting 87-90 from a high 3/4 arm slot with his fastball. Curveball has short, late 11/5 shape at 79-81. Changeup is above average with arm-side run at 81-83.
2/12/17 - Still growing 6-foot-1, 180-pounder who competed for Team Pennsylvania at the 2016 PBR Future Games. Rhythmic delivery with hands and lead leg working in concert and chest-high leg lift. Deep arm stroke into a high three-quarter slot. Good direction to plate with slightly closed toe landing and gets over front side well. Fastball sat 84-85 with minimal effort. Curveball at 72-74 was slider-like with tight spin, but not a ton of depth. Also showed a straight change-up at 75-77.
8/4/16 - 6-foot, 165-pound primary pitcher with long limbs appears to have significant additional growth in his frame. Long takeaway from a side-step rocker out of a high 3/4 arm slot. Quick, fluid arm action with late life to a fastball that topped at 86 mph. Also showed good bite on mid-70s curveball out of the same arm slot. Worked three one inning stints over two days facing just one batter over the minimum while striking out four and not allowing a hit.
4/13/16 - 6-foot, 165-pound righty with fluid delivery and some hip coil action that adds deception. Loose, quick arm action from high 3/4 arm slot. Fastball showed late life at 82-83. Faced three hitters in relief with two strikeouts. Curveball shows promise at 69-70 with 11/5 shape.
