Diamond Notes (Week Five)

Cam ConleyShortstop Cam Conley (Malvern Prep), a member of the Team Pennsylvania roster at the 2018 PBR Future Games, is this week's Pennsylvania Player of the Week.

Conley helped Malvern Prep (20-2) put together a 3-0 week that included a big Inter-Academic League win over Penn Charter and a win over Cavlert Hall (MD). 

On the week Conley, currently ranked No. 47 in the PA Class of 2020, went 6-for-7, with a walk, six runs scored, two stolen bases an eight RBI on the week.

On Saturday, Conley helped lead Malvern Prep to a 19-6 win over Calvert Hall finishing just a single away from hitting for the cycle. Conley had a double, triple and a homer run resulting in a seven RBI day.

Diamond notes

+ RHP Jack Kochanowicz (Harriton), ranked No. 32 in the PBR Draft 100, went six innings in a win over Conestoga this week. The righty did not allow an earned run while striking out 13.

+ RHP Adam Grintz (Downingtown West), a Tulane recruit, picked up a pair of wins this week to move to 6-0 on the season. On the week, the righty ranked No. 23 in the PA Class of 2019, worked 9.2 innings allowing one run. Grintz tossed a complete game, two-hitter against Bishop Shanahan while striking out 13.

+ LHP/1B Reggie Crawford (North Schuylkill), ranked No. 6 in the PA Class of 2019, hit a pair of home runs this week to help the Spartans to three wins and a 12-0 record for the season. On the year the Connecticut recruit is hitting .514 with four home runs, seven doubles and 17 RBI. On the mound Crawford is 1-0 with 13 strikeouts in just seven innings of work.

+ LHP Kellan Tulio (Emmaus), a Louisville recruit, struck out 13 while not allowing a hit in a a 10-0 win over William Allen this week.

+ 2019 LHP/1B Macleand Maund (Penn-Trafford), a Seton Hill recruit, went six scoreless innings in a 3-0 win over Connellsville this week to help the Warriors improve to 12-1. Maund allowed two hits while striking out nine.

+ RHP Luke Holman (Wilson), a member of Team PA at the 2018 PBR Future Games and on the roster for the 2019 version of the same event, went five hitless innings in a 2-0 win over Reading this week. Holman struck out 10 and walked two in lowering his season ERA to 1.64.

+ RHP/1B Daniel Kanagy (East Juniata) worked 9.2 innings on the week while striking out 10 against just one walk. The righty, ranked No. 97 in the PA Class of 2021, allowed only one earned run and went 3-for-5 with a double and a home run at the plate.
