6/15/20

Physical: Lean, uber-athletic 5-foot-10, 165-pound frame with plenty of twitch and sneaky strength in the actions. Georgetown commit.

Offensively: RHH. Balanced, even setup with slight bend in the knees while the hands display rhythm at the shoulder. Utilized a slight barrel tilt and shoulder turn inward for the load coupled with a leg hang stride to initiate his swing. Barrel worked through a lightning quick, slightly uphill path creating hard contact to the pull-side and ability to use all fields depending on which quadrant he was pitched into. The lower half is extremely adjustable and projects for extra base hit potential moving forward. Gets well through extension while hitting into a stiff allowing for high level bat to ball skills during batting practice. Registered a standout 99 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball.

Defensively: The primary shortstop displayed smooth, easy actions in the middle of the field creating a buzz after his defensive session. Consistently beat the ball to the spot early and rode momentum downhill towards the target generating a fluid pace in the middle at sub 4.0 seconds. The hands displayed rhythm and worked soft out in front of the body with a feel for transfers. Can handle throwing from a multitude of arm angles with high level double play footwork. Utilizes a fluid, high ¾ arm-slot with plenty of accuracy across the diamond. SS - 84 mph

2/15/20

5-foot-10, 165-pounder is noticeably bigger and stronger than the last time we saw him. The right-handed hitter stars from a square stance and utilizes a lift-and-replace stride to begin. An explosive lower half results in advanced barrel whip and consistent loud contact. Registered a bat exit velocity of 98 mph and ran a 6.83 60-yard dash. The uncommitted junior has more than enough arm strength at 87 mph to remain on the left side of the diamond at the next level. Defensive actions are clean and he plays low to the ground with an ability to make throws from multiple arm angles.

1/28/18

5-foot-9, 150-pound right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and utilizes a controlled leg-hang stride to initiate his swing. Displayed an above average feel for the barrel while making consistent hard contact with the ability to create back spin. Ran a 6.96 and showcased more than enough arm strength defensively (84 mph) to stay on the left side of the infield. Displayed active feet, a soft glove hand and the ability to make plays on the move. Athletic frame has room to add additional strength.

10/28/17

5-foot-8, 145-pound right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and utilizes a leg-hand stride to initiate his swing. Demonstrated a solid feel for the barrel with an uphill swing path that creates some backspin. Registered an 81 mph bat exit velocity and ran a 7.08 60-yard dash. Displayed a soft glove hand and active feet with the potential to be an advanced defender. Showcased the ability to make throws from multiple arm angles with accurate 81 mph arm strength across the diamond.
