Notes

2/12/23

Physical: Lengthy, high ceiling 6-foot-2, 180lb frame. 7.22 runner in the 60YD.

Offensively: RHH. Slightly bent, even stance, as the barrel rests simply on the shoulder to begin. Utilized a leg-lift stride to initiate the swing through a whippy, flat path that stretches on time. Big rotational energy into the hitting zone, creating some of the event’s top bat-speed and exit velocity at T101MPH. Placed 2nd in total distance, up to 397FT; middle of the order type.

Defensively: The primary first baseman featured a much improved skillset around the bag and soft hands. Clean transfer to throwing hand while delivering an accurate 82MPH ball across the dirt out of a H ¾ slot.

7/27/22

Physical: Long, slender 6-foot-2, 180lb frame. 7.24 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH. Spread, even stance with the hands in tighter to the body to begin. Utilized a controlled leg-lift stride to initiate the swing through an efficient, flat path into the hitting zone. Able to extend on the ball and create above-average bat-speed towards the pull-side of the field. Barrel stays in the zone for length, generating a T98 mph exit velocity and up to a 362 foot distance. Recorded multiple home-runs during BP.

Defensively: The primary first baseman featured adequate feel around the bag with a narrow, bent setup that hinges at the waist. Fielded off the center of his body and reached back for a 77 mph arm-strength across the dirt (H ¾ slot). Showed off the drop-step technique on double play feeds.

6/14/22

Physical: Lean, projectable 6-foot-1, 170lb frame with athletic actions. 7.27 runner in the 60.

Offensively: RHH. Balanced, even stance, as loose hands operate over the shoulder with repeatable posture. Utilized a leg-kick stride to initiate the swing through a fluid, slightly uphill path into the hitting zone. Plenty of bat-speed and creates advanced burst when phasing to extension out in front; worked up to a 97 mph exit velocity and 367 foot distance during batting practice. Middle of the order type down the road, hunts the FB for extra-base approach.

Defensively: The first baseman featured some feel around the bag with choppy footwork before settling down to a comfortable base at the fielding window. Directed the shoulders to the target and released up to 75 mph across the dirt (H ¾).

6/22/21

Physical: 6-foot-1, 155 pounds; Lean, athletic build. 7.52 runner in the 60.

Offensively: RHH. Open setup, with feet shoulder width apart; flat bat to start. Lifts hands with a toe-tap for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a short swing path with a one-handed finish.  More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 90 MPH via Trackman.

Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; uses prep hop while laid back. Hands are out in front with a clean transfer. Moderate arm circle  from a standard 3/4 arm slot.   INF - 69 MPH.
