7.18
Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.

A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
Slider
Hammer+
A hammer breaking ball drops vertically with velocity through the zone, or 12-to-6 movement. Hammer+ of 100 is MLB average.
Slider
Sweep+
A sweeping breaking ball moves horizontally with velocity through the zone. Sweep+ of 100 is MLB average.

The maximum speed, in the direction of home plate, that the wrist is traveling. Measured in meters per second (m/s)
Arm Slot
Angle of the forearm relative to the ground between maximum external rotation (MER) and ball release (BR). Which can be a powerful player comparison metric, delivered in degrees.
Knee Extension Velo
The angular velocity of the front knee straightening after foot plant, which provides indicators of velocity potential. Measured in degrees per second.
Deception
The amount of time that the ball is visible to the hitter, after the instant of front foot strike. Measures in milliseconds.
Hip-Shoulder Separation
The difference in angle of between the hips and shoulders, occurring close to the foot plant. Measured in degrees.
Physical: Long-limbed, high-waisted 6-foot-2, 185lb frame with starter’s projection.
Pitching: RHP. Starts off the middle of the rubber; forward drop-step with a cross-body leg-swing into stack position. Really rides the hip-hinge from a quick, whippy move at footstrike out of a H ¾ slot. Got extended on top of the hitter using an 87-90, T91 mph FB for strikes and added a sweeping, much improved 72-78 mph SL to manipulate the zone (2327).
6/15/21
Physical: Lean, athletic 6-foot-1, 170lb frame with projection left in the build. 7.34 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Wide open, upright stance with the hands out in front of the shoulder; utilized a stretched load, using a lift and replace stride outwards towards the pitcher allowing the hands to operate through a flat path into the hitting zone. Generated a whippy, accurate barrel creating a lofty, backspin approach through the middle of the field (57% fly ball rate / 275 foot batted ball distance via Trackman) and added a T86 mph bat-exit velocity during a consistent batting practice round. Top of the order profile with mostly singles PWR at the moment.
Defensively: The third baseman flashed ready footwork, bouncing in the “ready step” phase. Stayed on the toes and approached at a wide, balanced position with the hands out in front funneling into the chest. Posted a loose 81 mph arm across the diamond with accuracy on the bag.
Pitching: RHP - Started off the middle of the rubber with a quick, shallow leg lift showing big time hip coil at the stack; got down the mound on time with lots of intent, explosiveness through release from ¾ slot. The FB ranged from 79-81 mph with arm-side run, taking hands in on RHH at times; added a solid 64-66 mph SL while holding direction at the land, flashing good command in the zone.
2/27/21
Physical: 6’1 165 RHP/3B ran a 7.46 laser timed 60-yard dash. Thin frame has good length that allows him to create leverage.
Offensively: Starts with a narrow and opened stance. Has a long load of his upper body and a slight leg kick to create timing. Barrel works up through the ball and creates a solid contact consistently.
Defensively: Plays low to the ground, and keeps momentum flowing as he catchers and prepares to throw. Arms works quickly from a high ¾ arm slot.
Pitching: Works semi quick through his windup, gathers into his backside as his leg lifts. Has a slight pause at the top of his leg lift and then works downhill with intent.
