6/15/16 5-foot-10, 175-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and utilizes a toe-tap stride to initiate his swing. Gets through contact well with an exaggerated lift. Ball jumps of his barrel with a bat exit velocity of 88 mph. Barreled several balls to the deepest part of the park in game action. Ran a 6.93 60-yard dash and displayed athletic actions defensively with solid routes to the baseball and 81 mph arm strength.

2/14/16 Strong 5-foot-10, 170-pound right-handed hitter. Starts from square, utilizing a toe-tap stride to initiate his swing with a pronounced lift in his swing. Ball jumps of his barrel with a bat exit velocity of 86 mph. Smith ran a 6.95 60-yard dash and flashed 78 mph arm strength from the outfield. Demonstrates a hard nosed, bulldog mentality.

11/7/15 5-foot-10, 170-pound right-handed hitter. With strength sapped due to a three-day illness prior to the event, Smith wasn't quite at peak performance on this day. Measureables were still solid (7.11 60-yard dash, 76-mph arm strength, 84-mph exit velocity), although short of what he has previously shown (6.92 60, 80-mph arm, 87-mph exit). Starts from a slightly open stance and strides to a narrow, square base that causes him to spin. Vertical barrel in the strikezone, but has really strong forearms and the ball jumps off his bat.

6/17/15 5-foot-10, 165-pound right-handed hitter. Starts from a slightly open stance and strides to slightly closed. Uphill hand path creates some length and hook to swing, but bat speed is present. Ball comes off his bat well (it jumped on a triple to right-center) when he gets to extension and he has the ability to drive the baseball (87-mph exit velo). Posted a 4.41 in-game home-to-1B time and a 4.53 on a turn. Tracked ball well defensively in game action while showcasing athletic actions and 80-mph arm strength in workout.

2/14/15 Smith is a 5-foot-10, 165-pound right-handed hitter that hits from a wide, square stance. The sophomore uses a heel raise stride to initiate an explosive lower half. Smith hits off a stiff front leg and allows his back foot to release when engaging his hips creating an 86 mph bat exit velocity. For all the movement in his swing he stays balanced throughout and gets to extension routinely. Smith flashed solid foot speed (6.92 60-yard dash) and athletic actions defensively with a developing arm strength from the outfield (75 mph).

9/14/14 Smith went 3-for-8 in game action giving him eight hits over the first two weeks of the Fall Program. The 5-foot-9, 165-pound right-handed hitter continued to display the ability to stay inside the baseball and to make consistent solid contact in game action. Smith ran a 7.36 60-yard dash and displayed a 72 mph arm from the outfield while battling nagging bumps and bruises from the third week of his high school football season.

9/7/14 Smith is a 5-foot-9, 165-pound right-handed hitter that shined during game play going 5-for-7 with a double and triple over two games. The sophomore showed some gap power potential with a double and a triple. Smith loads up on his backside and gets to extension regularly with a bat exit velocity of 84 mph. He showed athletic actions defensively with an accurate 74 mph arm and ran a 7.25 60-yard dash.
