6/17/19

Huspen’s lean 6-foot-1, 161-pound frame has speed and is building power. Clocked a 6.63 60-yard dash, showed pop with an 88 mph exit velocity and stayed through the ball well in BP. 90 mph arm from the outfield with aggressive movements into the ball. Really like what this kid is doing, and could be a great pick up for someone very soon.

The right-handed hitter has loose-quick hands that trigger back before he takes a short stride with an occasional toe-tap. Natural lift as he slots the barrel in the zone, working on plane with natural lift to finish and strength at contact. 06.13.17 - Huspen has a lean, athletic, high-waisted, projectable frame at 6-foot, 151-pounds, with plenty of room to add strength over the next few years. A two-way player and right-handed hitter, Huspen starts from a tall, neutral stance, lowers himself into his legs as he loads back. Short stride with an inside-out hand path, line drive contact with fluid rhythm. In the outfield, Huspen has a loose arm stroke from a high-¾ slot with carry and accuracy at 85 mph. Quick footwork and rhythm through the ball for his class.

His curveball has 11-5 shape with some bite at 67 mph. With his projectable frame and athleticism, Huspen has a solid upside as a pitcher and position player.
