Long regarded as one of the state’s top prospects, 3B Brock Lulewicz (Muskego; Wichita State) is the second Wisconsin prospect to know heading into Wednesday’s Procase. Listed at an athletic 6-foot-1, 205-pounds, Lulewicz swings a smooth left-handed bat that he has continued to add more and more pop to in our most recent looks. His innate bat-to-ball and advanced approach are also impressive, as you rarely see him get fooled during his at-bats. Defensively, he is a clean and athletic mover on the left-side of the infield with enough arm strength to stick there long term. While he is an advanced prospect due to his abilities, he is also a confident and competitive gamer in between the lines, something that should not get overlooked when talking about him.
INF Brock Lulewicz (Muskego, 2024; Wichita State commit) is an athletic 6-foot-1, 195-pounds and one of the top-ranked left-handed bats in Wisconsin’s senior class. The 2022 PBR Future Games participant was all over the barrel this past weekend, recording a hit in each competition. He took quality at-bats each time he stepped into the box, working the count and spoiling pitches. He got the scoring started on Sunday for Hitters, as he fought off a pair of left-handed breaking balls and singled the other way to score a run. Defensively, Lulewicz started at third and made several quality plays at the hot corner. He showed range and a strong enough arm to remain on the left-side.
Lulewicz is another high-end name in the state's sophomore class who put together a standout day in Franklin. Lulewicz, a former PBR Future Gamer participant, seems to have been hard at work since his showing for Team Wisconsin. Lulewicz now boasting a more filled out 6-foot-1, 195-pound frame, started his day by running a 7.00 in the 60-yard dash and followed it up with an even more impressive round of infield defense where his athleticism and advanced infield actions were on full display. He rounded out his day with an even more impressive round of BP. From the left-side, Lulewicz features quick hands and short direct swing path that produced exit velocities up to 96.3 mph. This was just the most recent standout performance that Lulewicz has put on in front of our staff and he asserted himself even more as one of the top prospects in the entire state, maybe even the Midwest.

Lulewicz stands 6-foot, 190 pounds with high waist and sloped shoulders and has room to fill throughout. Brock showcased his knack for the barrel in BP at the Future Games, spraying line drives all over the field and showing pull side juice. His swing is consistently balanced allowing his good hands to control the barrel. Brock showcased his ability on defense with soft hands and a strong arm at 88 mph. The athleticism, quick feet, and glide to his run tool allows the profile to play both infield and outfield. Brock is a top ranked 2024 and should not remain uncommitted too much longer.

Lulewicz is fresh off a solid sophomore campaign for Muskego and he continued to impress while at The Rock on Tuesday. At a proportionate and projectable 6-foot, 190-pounds, Lulewicz started his day off by running a 7.24 in the 60. After this he followed it up with a consistent round of BP. From the left side, Lulewicz works from a tall setup and utilizes a small weight transfer load coupled with a direct swing to spray line drives to the entire field. On the infield, showcased his sure-handed infield actions and coupled it with a strong arm, one that topped at 88 mph on his throws to first. Lulewicz will represent Team Wisconsin at the PBR Future Games next week as one of the top-ranked members on the roster, making him one of the highest rated uncommitted players headed to the event.

Brock Lulewicz (Muskego, 2024) is a rangy and easy defender. He’s got a naturally confident glove hand, with fluid footwork and low effort actions. He’s projectably built at 6-foot, 180-pounds and could profile in the long run at any infield position. From the left hand box, Lulewicz showed improved bat speed and intent from the most recent previous look. Moving his max ball speed up to 82mph. While lulewicz is currently a “drop the hands on it” kind of hitter, his progress suggests that more is on the way. Lulewicz is a rock solid infielder to know in the sophomore class.
Lulewicz is a 6-foot, 180-pound left-handed-hitting infielder with the defensive skill set that should keep him occupying the left side of the diamond. After running a 7.13 in the 60-yard dash, we got our latest look at his lefty bat. Standing tall in the box, with a narrow load, and small stride, he charges his hands while keeping his arms spaced from his body. Lulewicz works from above the ball at 72 mph barrel speed with control, and contains his swing to the impact window. On the infield, Lulewicz showcased his high-end feel for defense. Working fundamental actions into everything he does with his glove on, and looking the part of a ballplayer who can play the game at a high level.
Positional Profile: 3B/SS
Body: 6-0, 180-pounds. Athletic build, high-waisted.
Hit: LHH. Tall, narrow load. Aggressive hand load with spacing in between arms and body. Direct to the ball working from above. Vertical barrel control. Short, contained swing path with feel for his hands.
Power: 87.4 max exit velocity, averaged 81.4 mph. 315’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 83 mph. High 3/4 slot with a shorter loop. Power with carry across the diamond.
Defense: Right to left stagger step circling from outside the ball. Clean funneling with a firm pocket while receiving. Left side projection.
Run: 7.15 runner in the 60.
Positional Profile: SS/2B
Body: 6-0, 175-pounds. Highly-advanced, athletic frame with plenty of room for continued physical development.
Hit: LHH. Starts in a balanced setup, short stride, quiet pre-pitch movements. Quick hands to the ball, loose arms throughout the swing, uphill path.
Power: 89.8 max exit velocity, averaged 81.6 mph. 326’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 84 mph. Short, high 3/4 slot, clean arm action.
Defense: Soft hands with a clean transfer out of the glove, moves on the balls of his feet with easy range to both sides, can play on the move.
Run: 7.13 runner in the 60.
Lulewicz has been on the radar for some time now. He possesses some wiry strength that generates above-average bat speed and can spray the ball on a line from foul pole to foul pole. Defensively, he’s shown well-above-average actions, with enough arm strength to profile on the left side. His total package will likely give him a shot to make the initial 2024 rankings when they release later this season.
Positional Profile: SS/2B
Body: 6-0, 165-pounds. Lanky, high-waisted frame with plenty of physical projection to come as he continues to mature.
Hit: LHH. Balanced lower half, active pre-pitch bat rhythm, hands work upward at load, short stride. Quick hands/wrists, short bat path, barrel travels uphill to contact at times. Line drive approach, worked the other way in BP.
Power: 86.3 max exit velocity, averaged 76.58 mph. 246’ max distance.
Arm: RH. C - mph. INF - 83 mph. OF - mph. Short arm circle finishes from a high 3/4 slot.
Defense: Defends with a confident aura to him on the infield. Lower half works around the baseball in rhythm, athletic posture at gather, glove works out front of body. Soft hands, clean funnel, quick release on the move. Extremely advanced defender on the move, adept body control. All the actions to stick up the middle long-term.
Run: 7.33 runner in the 60.
Lulewicz is the latest high-follow shortstop in Wisconsin, following a long line of excellent middle infielders before him including Gavin Lux (2016), Noah Miller (2021), Gavin Kilen (2022), and 2023s Cal Fisher and Alex Alicea. Lulewicz looks a little different than the aforementioned, already nearing the 6-foot mark as a freshman, showing a little more physicality at an earlier age. Still, the Muskego prospect features a savvy and smooth defensive skill set, just like those before him, and his left-handed bat is advanced. It's a smooth, fluid swing with an innate ability to lift the ball that is especially projectable when you factor in his physical upside. Last summer, Lulewicz commanded the middle of the infield, ranging to his left and right with rhythm while exchanging into an arm that featured both carry and accuracy across the diamond. Lulewicz boasts a rare combination of size and athleticism, and he looks like a good bet to become one of the state's top 2024 prospects in the near future.
High-ceiling prospect; advanced frame with notable athleticism. Long-levered, rangy athlete who played a premium shortstop all weekend. Defensively, plays with bounce and confidence, soft hands with athleticism to make non-routine plays with relative ease. Arm plays well across the diamond. Flashed carry and accuracy. Left-handed hitter, loose levers, swing is athletic and loose, on time, up-the-middle approach.
Started on the mound against Fastball Elite. Clear athleticism present, repeatable tall/fall type delivery, level front side, upright finish. Short and loose arm action that works from a high ¾ slot. Fastball sat 76-78 mph, touching 79. Comes out clean with life out of the hand, straight four-seam type, effectively wild on this day. Mixed in a cutter-type pitch with late glove-side action that played at 71-73 mph. Curveball sat 64-65 mph, showed 11/5 shape, flashed late break, some feel for pitch. Went 2.1 innings and struck out seven batters.
Positional Profile: SS/2B
Body: 5-foot-8, 117-pounds. Lanky frame.
Defense: Fields ball out in front, fluid footwork for age, athletic fielding position for age, attacks ball well.
Arm: RH. INF - 73 mph. Short, loose arm action, high 3/4 arm slot, showed some carry for age.
Hit: LHH. Balanced setup, short stride, slightly open. Shows some bat speed for age, level, uphill path, line drive, gap-gap approach.
Power: 71 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Run: 7.87 runner in the 60.
