Baker is a long projectable framed southpaw with upside on the mound. Baker has an up tempo athletic delivery that he repeats consistently. His fastball works downhill from a high three-quarter slot that tops out at 85 mph with slight arm side run. He has a 1/7 curveball he can land for strikes and a change up with fastball intent. Baker’s velocity continues to tick up year over year as his off speed pitches continue to develop which makes him an interesting arm from the left side.

Delivery: Uptempo delivery, works athletically in rhythm, slight drop and drive type.
Arm Action: LH. High 3/4 slot, loose arm action, athletic arm.
FB: T85, 82-85 mph. Slight arm-side run. T1953, 1724 average rpm.
CB: 68-72 mph. 1/7 shape, gradual action. T2029, 1890 average rpm.
CH: 75-79 mph. Fastball arm speed, down below the zone. T1571, 1511 average rpm.

6-foot-3, 175-pound frame that oozes projection. Showed well today on the mound vs Rhino Baseball. Fastball sat 77-81 with arm-side run and got swings and misses. His breaking ball sat 67-68 with sweeping action. A follow going forward in the 2024 class and we might see him later on in this tournament.
Is a 6-2, 176lb L/L outfield two-way that ran a 7.11 60 yard dash to begin his day. Baker possesses an interesting four pitch mix that works up to 84mph, and projects to pick up velocity as he goes along. Baker had a strong day in the field as well as at the plate. Tossing 89mph from the outfield during the defensive session, after working up to 95mph exits off the bat in the offensive session. He repeated high contact quality line drives throughout his round.

Body: 6-foot-1, 145-pounds. Lean, lanky frame that carries some physical projection.
Delivery: Upright start from the wind-up, center of the rubber; rhythmic side-step rock into tall balance point, high leg lift, maintains balance well. Drops and drives, hands break to glove tap timing; moves down mound in a high front, shoulders closed, lands closed with toe pointed wide open, momentum carries him through to home.
Arm Action: LH. Stab draw straight down at separation; loose arm out front, easy effort from a high 3/4 release.
FB: T73, 69-72 mph. High release slot creates arm-side action; above-average spin rate for velocity; T2074 rpm.
CT: 61-65 mph. Arm decelerates; generates some cut action that projects as he adds intent and velocity.
CH: 58-64 mph. Maintains arm speed well; prominent fade/run action thrown from a near identical arm slot.
Hit: LHH. Tall/balanced setup with a pre-pitch rhythm; loads back with high elbow, leg kick stride to even. Loose hands/wrists create some whip through the zone that projects. Balanced through impact and finish.
Power: 83 mph exit velocity during batting practice.
Arm: LH. OF - 77 mph. Loose, clean arm action from a high 3/4 slot.
Defense: Controlled approach to the ball, efficient gather through transfer; shuffles through exchange and release.
Run: 7.71 runner in the 60.
