Comments

3/07/20

The 6-foot, 135-pound primary middle infielder displayed calm, athletic actions in the field. Showed good athleticism with range up the middle. Plays with a quiet, contagious confidence and displayed a 71 mph arm across the diamond.Offensively, Stratton starts in a spread open, athletic stance. Showed ability to generate good bat speed through developing core strength. Consistently drove the ball to all fields. On the mound, he initiates his delivery with a small, side rocker step. Utilizes a hip turn at the top of his delivery that is athletic and effective. Delivery is quiet and repeatable. Arm works within the frame of his developing body. FB sat 74-75 consistently with arm side run. Displayed a developing breaking ball with 11/5 shape, along with a CH that sat 66-67 with fade at the plate. Stratton is a high follow in the 2024 class.

+ 2018 PBR Junior Future Games Selection (12U Team Pennsylvania)

2/24/18 Iniatites swing from open with a controlled stride to neutral. Separation is adequate. Weight shift and hip turn are aggressive with solid backside release. Bat spends considerable time in zone with flat path. There is good balance and rhythm present. A 68 mph bat exit velocity was recorded by young developing player.

On the mound works out of low to mid 3/4 arm slot with solid balance, rhythm and ability to repeat. Arm action is long and loose with low effort. FB sat 63-65 with arm side run and sink. CB at 58-59 flashed late break and 11-4 shape. CH was thrown with good sell and solid movement but spotty command at 58-59. Arm action and athleticism project to upside in young player.
