On Wednesday, our staff collaborated to highlight the biggest takeaways and highlights from Monday's showcase, and we published them in our Quick Hits piece. Today, we’ll dive into the statistical side of things, looking at which athletes in attendance topped our leaderboards with their impressive numerical outputs.

TOP 60-YARD DASH

Leading the way with the fastest 60-yard dash time of the day was OF Kamrin Cox (Homewood-Flossmoor, 2023), one of the more athletic sophomore prospects we’ve seen to date. Built at a chiseled 6-foot, 185-pounds, Cox has natural athletic movement patterns that play up in the field, allowing him to cover plenty of ground and close gaps from center field. Another strong and highly athletic prospect who knocked nearly half a second off his 60-yard dash time from the last time we saw him was OF Jake Collins (Lockport, 2022), who clocked in at 6.69. A notable name from the state’s 2023 class who you’ll see scattered throughout these leaderboards is C Colin Barczi (Naperville Central). The 6-foot-2, 200-pound backstop ran a 6.75, an impressive number that is even more eye-popping when you factor in his size and stature.

MAX FASTBALL VELOCITY

One of the clear-cut winners from Monday’s event was LHP Tore Indomenico (St. Ignatius). The 6-foot, 190-pound southpaw sat at a lively 87-88 mph with his fastball, and he reached an 89.1 high, the fastest pitch of the event. RHP Ryan Ball's (Lincoln Way East, 2022) max fastball (87.4 mph) was just a few ticks Indomenico's, as one of the event's best. Standing at a physical, imposing 6-foot-3, 215 pounds, Ball made a noteworthy first impression at his PBR debut. Two other 2022 prospects round out the top four of this leaderboard: RHP Matthew Cuzco (St. Ignatius) and RHP Max Hansmann (York). Cuzco just edged out his counterpart for the third-place spot on this list, topping out at 86.9 mph, while Hansmann topped an 86.1 high, per TrackMan.

Uncommitted junior RHP/INF Randy Seymour (Lincoln-Way East, 2022) had a sound all-around day as a two-way player, and he topped 85.9 mph from the mound. He's a sturdy 6-foot-3, and he added some notable strength to his stature in between looks from now and last summer.

Mentioned within the 60-yard dash section for his premium athleticism, sophomore Kamrin Cox also showed a live arm on the mound. He reached an 84.6 mph high with his fastball that also featured some of the event's best carry through the zone.

Freshman LHP/1B Justyn Hart (Marian Catholic, 2024) is a durable, strong 6-foot-1, 218 pounds with genuine two-way potential. His 84.3 mph high was the tops among 2024s in attendance, featuring hard run and carry. He's a physical 6-foot-1, 218-pound freshman to monitor in the state's 2024 class.

MAX EXIT VELOCITY

We saw a different level of physicality from the right-handed stroke of 6-foot-3, 255-pound 1B Cade Duffin (Oswego, 2023). Duffin’s hardest batted ball was registered at 103 mph, an impressive number regardless of age. Tied for second place and behind Duffin at an exit velocity of 101 mph were both Collins and Barczi, whom we mentioned above. A noteworthy name to pluck from this collective group is left-handed hitting OF Kyle Peterson (Sandburg, 2022). His max exit speed (96.9 mph), average exit speed (89.5), and max fly ball distance (371 feet) were all either near or at the top of the event leaderboard, per TrackMan.

MAX INFIELD VELOCITY

C/3B Kaleb Wilkey (Lincoln-Way West, 2023) recorded the top infield arm at 86 mph and his strong arm also played well from behind the plate, playing true and with carry. INF/RHP Mark Tor (Lockport, 2022) topped 83 mph across and 82 from the mound later in the day.  Seymour earned a shout-out in the max fastball section, and he reached an 82 mph here across. MIF Ryan Nelson (Plainfield North, 2023) has an upside 5-foot-11, 145-pound frame with a loose, wiry arm to regularly produce throwing velocities at 80-plus mph across the infield.

MAX OUTFIELD VELOCITY

It seems that OF Dominic Coda (Joliet Catholic, 2022) has made several statistical improvements since we last saw him at our All-State Games last June. He, like a few others on this list, cut his 60-yard dash time from 7.22 to 6.83 seconds and he improved his velocity from the outfield by five ticks, topping out at 88 mph. A trio of outfielders, all from Illinois, finished just one tick behind Coda with their best thorw clocking in at 87 mph to home: Dawson Bochenek (Lockport, 2022), Clay Schrader (Naperville Central, 2023), and Jake Perrino (Benet Academy, 2023). The lone Wisconsin product in attendance and a top-15 prospect in the state's sophomore class, OF Ryan Drumm (Edgewood, 2023), reached an 85 mph high to home.

MAX CATCHER VELOCITY

Naperville Central’s Barczi continues to show advanced physical traits for his age and he leads this group of backstops in arm strength, with a max throw of 80 mph to the bag. Right behind him in second and third are C/1B Ray Jesse (Lockport, 2023) and OF/C Jack Novak (Lincoln Way Central, 2023). We saw both of them at different events this fall and they’ve each, respectively, improved on their previous personal highs.

TOP POP TIMES

Wilkey averaged the lowest pop times of the event, consistently recording times in the low-2.00s, similar to Barczi, expectedly.
