What Did We See?
In the matter of four months, Kottmeyer, one of the top unsigned senior's on the board saw his velocity continue to rise. After sitting 83-85 mph in October, Kottmeyer added 15 pounds to his 6-foot-6 frame and his fastball ticked up to 88-89 mph this February. Kottmeyer also showed feel for a firmer curveball than we had seen in the past, sitting 72-74 mph. Given Kottmeyer's upward trajectory over the last few months and year, the sky is the limit for this talented unsigned senior.
