Under Armour All-America Game set for Saturday at Wrigley Field

By Sean Duncan

For the fifth consecutive year, the Under Armour All-America Game will be played at Wrigley Field. Once again, the Under Armour All-America Game features 36 of the best prep talent in the country. The game is set for Saturday, August 18 at 12:30 p.m. Prior to the game, there will be a home run derby championship.

The Under Armour All-America Game features several of the top players in the Prep Baseball Report coverage area, including No. 1 overall prospect Trey Ball (New Castle HS, IN). The 6-foot-6 Ball, who stole the show at the Super 60 in February, is quickly climbing the national draft board for next June. Widely considered the top two-way prospect in the country, Ball shined at the Area Code Games, further solidifying his status as a potential first-rounder.

RHP A.J. Bogucki (Boyertown HS, PA) is the No. 2-ranked prospect in our coverage area. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound right-hander is committed to North Carolina.

OF Corey Ray (Simeon HS, IL) is the hometown hero of the games, as the Chicago native will patrol the outfield for the National Team. The left-handed hitting Ray, who is committed to Louisville, is known to shine when the lights are the brightest.

A pair of Kentucky pitchers, RHP Clinton Hollon and LHP Hunter Green, will throw on the American Team. The 6-foot-1 Hollon is one of the top power arms in the country. Committed to the Kentucky, Hollon should light up the radar guns. Green is an extremely projectable 6-foot-4, 170-pound left-hander whose fastball was in the 88-91 mph range at the Tournament of Stars.

In all, the game is loaded with the top players in the country. Tickets are $5. The game will also be aired on the MLB Network.
