Seth Risely (6’2-195, RHP) 2021

  •  Fastball: 82-83 T 85 w/ late life. 
  •  Breaking balls low 70’s, spotty.. 11/7 shape 
  •  Clean over the top delivery with good extension. Showed ability get glove side on fastball today. 
  • #12 OF in Ohio 
  • 4.06 down line on bunt base (06/26/20) 
  • Single at 97mph (06/25/20) 
  • Backside triple in RC gap and 6 hole single (06/27/20) 
  • ++ Makeup .. very athletic and twitchy.. mature/advanced approach at the plate. 
  • Starts tall and sinks into legs, creates good stretch with a short compact swing.. 


Trey Reed, RHP, Washington HS, 2021
6.25.20 Uncommitted 6-foot-5, 210 pound right-hander impressed with an 86-88 mph fastball, topping out at 89 once. Utilized his 82-83 mph cutter frequently for a strike and showed feel for a 72-73 mph breaking ball with tight spin. Pitched three innings allowing two hits with three strikeouts. 

Kahl Stephen, RHP, Seeger HS, 2021

6.25.20 Purdue commit, came out hot sitting sitting 88-90, up to 91 with good extension and late life on the fastball. Also flashed a tight 80-81 mph breaking ball with swing and miss tendencies. Projectable 6-foot-4, 195 pound frame.  The right-hander is sure to make his way on scouts follow lists for next year's draft. 2IP, 5K.

Mitchell Henneberry, LHP, Carmel HS, 2021
6.25.20 Uncommitted left-hander competed in the zone to both sides of the dish with an 80-82 mph fastball, up to to 84. Landed his 72-74 mph curveball for a strike. Pitchability is there. 6-feet, 175 pound frame. 2IP, 3K.


Calvin Shepherd, RHP, Lawrence North HS, 2021
6.25.20 Recent Illinois commit; 6-foot-2, 180 pound frame. Solid three-pitch mix up to 88 mph with the fastball. Changeup has arm side run. Breaking ball dives away from righties. Was effective against to both lefties & righties. Competes in the zone.


Kyle Carpenter, RHP, Evansville North HS, 2021
6.26.20 Uncommitted, lanky 6-foot-5, 170 pound righty sat 82-84. Sidesaddle delivery, long high 3/4 arm action with some stiffness. Slight inward turn at the top of his delivery. Lands heavy, spinning off towards 1B. Breaking ball was 68-69. 


Matt Gauer, RHP, Terre Haute North HS, 2021
6.26.20 Uncommitted 6-foot-4, 175 pound right-hander. Simple delivery, repeats well, clean arm action. Up to 85 with the fastball and high spin; average fastball was 83. 


  • Fastball 82-84 T86 lots of arm side 
  • Breaking Ball: 69-71.. sweeping action.. big 
  • Slightly across body delivery with short arm action. Uses long levers to get baseball out front.. good intent with lower body as well.. could be sinker guy in the future  

Deron Swanson, LHP, Snider HS, 2021
6.26.20 Uncommitted LHP sat 81-83 T85 mph. Quick arm and competes in strike zone. Spin rate up to 2300 rpm. Breaking ball has been 70-73 with depth. Showed a change up at 75. Seems like a guy who wants the baseball.


  • Fastball: 84-86 w arm side run, late life. Hit 86 a lot. 
  • Change up: 72mph ++ pitch in the future, runs and throws out of same slot as fastball 
  • Breaking ball: 66-68, big breaking ball 11/7 shape. 
  • Smooth delievery with quick arm at high 3/4 arm slot.


Noah Bright, C, Henry Ford II HS, 2021
6.26.205-foot-11, 175 pound receiver. His athletic/mobile frame allows for him to receive very well. Consistently gets in good positions to present pitches. Showed good bat speed as well. Ranked No. 55 in Michigan. 

Preston Leon, MIF, Dakota HS (MI), 2021
6.27.20 5-foot-10, 170 pound MIF that plays with swagger and confidence on both sides of the ball. Athletic build, good runner. Efficient and short bat path. Quick feet and soft hands in the field. Played second base but has arm and athleticism to play left side.

Gavin Woodard, RHP/1B, Lake Michigan Academy (MI), 2022
6.27.20 Fastball: 84-85 T87 . Slider: 77mph - tight could be considered cutter. Curveball: 72mph - 12/6 Shape.. Good depth. Change up: 75mph - threw it out of the same slot as fastball, had some sink. Smooth/Clean delivery..repeatable mechanics 


Jack Meyer, 3B, Rockwood Summit HS, 2021
6.26.20 6-foot-2, 183 pounds. Showed feel from the right-side. Good timing and rhythm. Found the barrel consistently with exit velocities of 95, 92 and 90 mph. Went 2-3 with a double to left. Lindenwood (MO) commit.

Alex Esker, LHP, CBC HS, 2021
6.26.20 Uncommitted. 6-foot-4, 190 pound southpaw sat 81-83, T85; up to 2300 spin rate. Slider held at 68-71. Flashed a CH at 75. Above average speed. Ranked No. 38 in Missouri.



Charlie Hawk, RHP, Lawrence Central HS
6.25.20 6-foot-1, 175 pound frame with plenty of room to fill out. The right-hander sat 81-83, T85. Has feel for the breaking ball at 71-73, 11/5 shape. Strike thrower. Pitched four innings, allowing five hits, three runs with six strikeouts. Top 100 player in Indiana.



Jermaine Young Jr., OF, St. Patrick HS, 2022

6.26.20 Athletic, physical frame at 6-foot-2, 215. Big swing with intent from the right-side. Tripled to left with an exit velocity of 94 mph. Gap-to-gap type power. 7.11 runner in the 60. Ranked No. 81 in Illinois. 

Jack McNamara, C, Lyons Township HS, 2022
6.26.20 5-foot-11, 180 pounder. Left-handed hitter with a low hand set. Slight drift. Shorter swing path, level plane. Gets to extension well. 

  • Fastball: 80-81 T83mph.. showed some arm side run 
  • Change up: 73-75mph.. 
  • Pitched primarily fastball/change
  • Over the top delivery with good late explosiveness.. definitely more left in the tank.. needs to develop off speed better. 
  • Good athlete 

Matt Tarr, C/OF, West Aurora HS, 2022
6.26.20 6-feet, 185 pound frame. Showed bat speed from the right-side (98 EV) on a triple to right-center. Middle-oppo approach. Wide stance, short stride, longer swing path, keeps the barrel in the zone for a long time.

 Evan Jones, OF, Normal University HS, 2022

6.26.20 6-foot-2, 183 pound athletic frame. Went 2-3 on the day. Quiet approach with some presence. Looks to elevate the baseball. Crouch setup, leg lift stride

Sebastian Gutierrez, 3B, Nazareth Academy, 2022
6.25.20 Showed presence in the box from the right-side. Slight uphill path, with leverage. Above average bat speed. 6-feet, 160 pound athletic frame. Drove a ball to left for an RBI double. Ranked 64th in Illinois.
