Wisconsin 2021 Rankings Updated
April 24, 2020
While the unfortunate announcement of the cancellation of WIAA spring sports put a damper on many spirits across the state, there are still a plethora of prospects in Wisconsin to talk about and shed light on their hard work and upward trajectories in preparation of a spring season.
The Overall 2021 Rankings were updated earlier this spring and it is now Wisconsin's turn to get a fresh look at the top juniors across the Badger State. Eight of Wisconsin’s finest made that prestigious list and we’ve expanded out state rankings to 125, adding more than 25 new prospects to the list. We saw a ton of players this preseason with some eye opening performances and surprising upticks. Over the next week we’ll take you on a tour through the updated rankings, highlighting risers, newcomers and more.

The state’s 2021 list as started with the same name for the last four updates, and the Alabama bound Noah Miller (Ozaukee) held on firmly with a superior showing at the South Milwaukee Preseason I.D. in March. Miller proved he’s head and shoulders above his peers in his skill set and the way he goes about his business. His play exudes confidence and its beyond just his stat lines that makes him the top prospect in the state’s junior class.
Noah Miller (3/1/20)
Just as Miller hasn't moved from the top spot, much of the top ten has stayed status quo, until we get to LHP Tommy Meyer (Wauwatosa East). Meyer arguably made the most impactful rise on the 2021 rankings after a much anticipated uptick in velocity this winter. Last year, at about this same time, Meyer was tabbed in a national story, “Uncommitted Upside 2021s”. At that point Meyer was a wiry 6-foot-4, 180-pounds and just scratching 85 mph. Since then, Meyer showed well at the Future Games last summer, and Northern Illinois committed the southpaw in November. Meyer has since turned that touch of an 85 mph into the low end of his velo, sitting 85-88 mph with the same ease he’s always shown. Meyer’s jump moved him from No. 17 up to the No. 8 spot in the state.
