vs Clayton Valley - Air Force commit; had one at-bat and made the most of it, driving in the tying run in the top of the 7th inning, with a double down the LF line. Big and strong (6-foot-1, 205-pounds), the right-hand hitting Mott pulled his hands inside a 86 mph fastball boring in on the inner half and kept the ball fair. The swing plane and hand path are good as is his strength. He has legitimate power potential and bat talent. To get on the field more often his defense and throwing will have to improve.

NorCal Preseason All-State:
7.60 60yd, 79 OF, 91 EV
6-2, 200 physical frame with strength in the firm shoulders and chest and length in the lower half; not done filling frame. Slight bend in knees with high hands/high back elbow; controlled forward movement with slight foot lift allowing him to gain ground while maintaining spacing for hands to work. Compact barrel turn with direct hands allowing him to make contact out front and backspin balls through the gaps; when stays locked on front side able to create easy lift through the middle of the field (91 EV). Athletic movements in OF with ability to get body moving through the baseball; longer arm swing before mid-slot arm action keeping throws firm with a bit higher arc (79 OF). Frame and swing to play both corner OF spots and 1st base.
6/13/19
Summer Scout - Projectable frame with high waist and physicality in the wide upper half. Game 1 saw him pick up three hard singles showing a compact swing with some lift through the zone; controlled swing with balance and purpose showing a quick trigger. Showed some barrel control with first two singles through 6 hole before hard line drive into RCF during 3rd AB. In game 2 he showed the strength in his hands and wrists with a tough pitch and drove it into RF for a F9. Range fits at 1st or in corner OF with bat being carrying tool for him.
6/03/18
6/1/18-6/3/18 BAWS 2018 - Strong build on a young 6-foot-1 175-pound body. One of Northern California's more intriguing hitting talents. Narrow stance with high back elbow lowering hands on load; quick bat showing wrist strength and ability to drive ball into gaps. Bat speed is clearly present, knows how to find the barrel while letting the barrel live through contact. Doesn't force his swing. Long arm in outfield with potential to develop above average arm strength with some adjustments in release point and timing of his release. Fair runner with footspeed that would fit in either corner outfield spot. Bat and ability to hit with some power will be his calling card as he develops.
