Uncommitted. Has been on the rise throughout the winter and is currently ranked No. 59 in the Illinois’ 2022 class. Highly projectable 6-foot-2, 185-pound frame. Started on the mound for Huntley. Clean, short ¾ arm action. Smooth delivery, loads/drops into his back leg while keeping his stride in line. Fastball sat 84-88 with late sink and arm-side-run. Slider showed to be his best secondary pitch on this day, thrown at 74-78 mph with sharp break and feel for the bottom of the zone. Curveball is also an above-average offering at 71-74 mph, with 11/5 shape, with similar feel as the slider and a distinctly different action. Changeup was thrown from the same arm slot as his fastball at 77-79, with good downward movement. True four-pitch repertoire which profiles as a starter at the next level.

CB: 70-74 mph. 11/5 shape. T2554, 2380 average rpm.
SL: 74-77 mph. Best secondary offering, showed hard action and above average spin. T2563, 2479 average rpm.

RHP Adam Guazzo (Huntley): Guazzo made a case for himself to be one considered as one of the highest additions to the 2022 state rankings when we update the board next, following the winter. A well-proportioned 6-foot-1, 180 pounds, Guazzo showed off a big arm sitting 87-89 mph, with a plus slider for his age at 74-77. Since this same event last year, Guazzo made the change to work out strictly as a pitcher, and he’s seen a 10 mph spike over that time.

Positional Profile: RHP/C
Body: 6-1, 170-pounds. Athletic, well-proportioned frame.
Delivery: Controlled, repeatable tall and fall delivery. lands square and finishes athletically.
Arm Action: RH. Short, quick arm action, high 3/4 slot.
FB: T83, 82-82 mph. Clean out of the hand, controlled the zone, late boring action.
CB: 66-70 mph. Lands for strikes, 11/5 shape, tight spin at times. Median spin rate of 2314 RPM, via TrackMan.
CH: 74-75 mph. Maintains arm speed, late run and sink, feel for bottom of the zone.

Body: 5-foot-11, 165-pounds. Athletically-built, room for continued physical development.
Hit: RHH. Balanced setup, minimal load and short leg-lift trigger. repeatable swing, level long bat path, line-drive approach.
Power: 84 mph exit velocity from the tee. 
Arm: RH. C - 75 mph. Short arm action, over-the-top slot. 
Defense: 2.05-2.10 pop times. Sure-handed, quick exchange.
Run: 4.62 runner home-to-first. 

Delivery: Smooth, repeatable delivery, works on-line, lands front-toe square.
Arm Action: RH. Short, loose arm action, high 3/4 window.
FB: T78, 75-77 mph. Down in the zone at times, occasional late finish through the zone.
CB: 62-63 mph. 11/5 plane, occasional sharp spin.
CH: 66-69 mph. Thrown aggressively, late fade at times.

5-foot-11, 165-pound, strong frame, catcher and right-handed pitcher. On the mound, right-handed pitcher, filled up the strike zone with all three pitches. Repeatable delivery, works on-line down the mound, lands front toe close and finishes athletically. Short arm action from a high ¾ slot. Fastball, slight running action, sat 72-73, touched 74. Curveball, 10/4 shape, feel, 60-63 mph. Changeup, thrown for strikes, 61-64 mph. At the plate, right-handed hitter, tall, balanced setup, short stride, long and level bat path. Line-drive approach and registered a 78 mph exit velocity from a tee. Defensively, behind the plate, steady hands, short arm action, high ¾ slot and throws topped at 68 mph. Pop times ranged between 2.18-2.36. 4.87 runner, home-to-first.
