Bradley commit. 5-foot-11, 155-pound, lean, athletic, left/left outfielder who is also known for his prowess on the mound. Hit in the three hole and played right field in this game. Loose, athletic hands at the plate, feel for the barrel, uses the whole field and made a lot of hard contact. Went 2-for-4 with an RBI and run scored. His double was driven into left center field and he also lined a single into left. Clean, athletic outfield actions. Fluid footwork, easy range and strong, accurate arm that carries.

9.16.18 - Bradley commit, currently ranked No. 56 in the Illinois’ 2019 class. 6-foot, 155-pound, left-handed pitcher, lean, athletic-build. Works out of the stretch-only, worked more directional and downhill than in the past. Arm is clean, loose and quick from a high ¾ slot. Fastball, showed control, worked straight, finishes through the zone, sat 83-86 mph. Showed two breaking balls. One with slider action, short 2/8 break, 78 mph. Curveball, depth, 1/7 shape, 69 mph.

7.16.18 - Verbally committed to Bradley University.

3.17.18 - Currently uncommitted and ranked No. 60 in the Illinois’ 2019 class. 5-foot-11, 155 pound, lean, high-waisted, left handed-hitting outfielder. Despite being better known for his ability on the mound, impressed throughout the week as a position player. At the plate, balanced setup, minimal load, no wasted movements and maintains balance throughout. Present bat speed, uses the whole field, understands the strike zone, hunts the fastball. At the Kickoff Classic went 4-for-6, 2B, 3 R, RBI and 2BB. Defensively, showed off the strong arm that makes him so intriguing on the mound. While playing right-field he threw out a runner trying to go first-to-third. The throw was on a line the entire time, right on the bag with advanced carry.

2017 Future Games (8.2.17) - 5-foot-11, 155-pound, lean, well-proportioned, left-handed pitcher. Works from the stretch only, high glove set, keeps his delivery simple and on-line. Quick arm action with a slight stab on the backside; comes out of a high ¾ slot. Fastball flashed life, late arm-side-run at times, sat 83-84 mph. Curveball, hard-biting action, 12/6 to 1/7 action, above-average depth and spin, struggled to command it, 71-73 mph. Also, features a splitter but did not throw it in game, has been 71-74 mph in the past.

9/23/19: Another freshman who impressed with two strong innings on the mound was LHP Angel Acevedo. He showed an athletic, on-line delivery with a loose arm which produced an 87-90 mph fastball and good spin and shape on his 71-73 mph curveball. He’s one to keep an eye on for the 2022 draft.
