4/19/14 - Ranked No. 59 in Illinois, No. 272 overall. Wiry strong 6-foot-2, 185-pound frame, high-level athlete (6.75 60). Left-handed hitter, showed his bat speed by turning on 91-mph fastball for RBI single through the right side. Has pullside approach, tendency to come around baseball; also walked grounded to first baseman and struck out. Also had a RBI single in Game 2. Defensively, has strong arm (clocked at 87 mph at PBR event). In game, made a catch in right field going back, planted and threw a strike to third base on fly. Forte also pitched in Game 2 vs. Niles Notre Dame. In first inning, pitched at 83-84.
10/20/13 - Highly athletic frame, projectable build, 6-foot-2, 180-pound left handed hitting outfielder. Highly athletic feet, showed plus potential foot speed, ran a 6.75 60. Offensively hits from the left side, balanced stance, short stride, lower half worked with solid balance through contact. Displayed above average bat speed, path is slightly longer, showed a tendency to make opposite field contact. 79 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively showed some of the best arm strength from the outfield, clocked at 87 mph from the crow hop. Arm action is long and over the top. Again showed quick footwork as displayed by his 60 time, aggressive routes to the baseball.
